I watched this out of curiosity as to how bad or sacrilege it would be. How does it compare to the original? Don’t bother with this one! It does not have the creepy tone and atmosphere as the original. It does not have the menace not even the clown (i think the original clown was much scarier.) The only character I remotely cared about in the new Poltergeist was Piggycorn
I was pleasantly surprised that the Poltergeist remake mostly differentiates itself from the original and makes a case for its existence.
Here are my thoughts on the 2015 remake of Poltergeist. It was something of a mixed bag for me. Didn't love it. Didn't hate it.
Annoying children in horror movies is one of my biggest movie annoyances. I don’t mind creepy children.
Avoid if you have Coulrophobia.
