Blood Warning
Based on the Dancer Polunin
and thats the moment i fall in love with him again
His heart's deep story tastesĀ foreign in the mouths ofĀ cowards and on the tongues ofĀ those who have never breathed-in pain and breathed-out passion.
So we talked about ballet in a Russian Culture course Iām taking. My teacher showed us this video of dancer Sergei Polunin dancing to Hozier.
Oleg Ivenko et Sergei Polunin dans āNoureev, le Corbeau Blancā biopic de et avec Ralph Fiennes - sur le danseur Rudolf Noureev (1938-1993) - juillet 2019.
I apologise in advance for the negativity I am about to share, but this makes me extremely angry.
This twisted, toxic "masculinity" is where violence against women, homophobia and similar evils stem from.Ā
Polunin isn't a lost boy. He isnāt a tortured artist. He isnāt a misunderstood genius. He isnāt a victim. He is a cowardly, self-indulgent, frankly stupid and overly privileged white man who chooses to behave in a destructive manner.
From Gramilano blog:
Polunin interview in today's Times which was carried out before he wrote his damaging Instagram posts (it was intended to boost publicity for this month's release of The White Crow in which he has a role). Here are a couple of extracts (photos by Robert Wilson):
"I always knew, the darkness wants me, and the light wants me. And itās always a choice. And in a way, darkness is more fun. More fun, but itās an easy path. The light is much more difficult, and itās longer, and it takes a lot of strength.ā
I ask him if he can always tell the difference between the two. He says, āYes. I can.ā But there are times when he is overcome by his darker impulses. āAlmost like I know you shouldnāt do that. But you do it anyway.ā Sometimes, he says, he feels strong. But when he weakens, bad thoughts can ācrawl inā.
-----
Above Poluninās hip: āI am not a human. I am not a god. I am hwo I am.ā The āwā and the āhā are reversed. A simple mistake, apparently.
------
He was single, āfor many years. Because I was so unstable with emotions.ā He says, āA relationship is like another layer of emotions. I didnāt listen to music; I didnāt have a girlfriend. To be stable, I had to square my world. As soon as I would hear music, it would be like: too much emotion. I didnāt read books, because they would influence me too much.ā
------
Later, Polunin will send his infamous posts. Later still, he agrees to send me an update on his thoughts. Men and women, he writes, are opposites. Thatās why they attract each other. But men are being told that women donāt need them any more. The result: āMan feels lost, they arenāt needed they become weak ⦠itās hard to tell where is man and where is woman ⦠that can lead to Decomposition and Extinction of a nation.ā

Can you believe Polunin just got cancelled?
