Good news: the plugin that posts to Tumblr is working again! (Technically, it updates the date so the post shows up on the RSS feed and that triggers a post to Tumblr.)
Bad news: It’s supposed to select random posts, but it seems to be working its way through one category right now. Hope everyone likes Alias.
I tweaked a setting, so we’ll see what happens. And hey, if you want a completely random rec, you can always visit the site and click whatever’s in the top right-hand corner.
do y'all accept outside suggestions for poly-centric fics? I have some favorites from a smaller fandom that I feel like might be worth recommending. thanks!
Had we thought this through, many years ago, we might have chosen a different name. The “polyamorous” in Polyamorous Recs refers to our reading tastes, rather than the subject matter. Maybe for updates, we should put “Polyamorous Recs (it’s just a name).”
Anyway, sorry for the confusion. That said, you can always feel free to send suggestions. We just can’t promise they’ll be our cup of tea, or even in fandoms that we read.
Is the world a terrifying place right now? Do you need distracting on a more-or-less constant basis? (Those are rhetorical questions. I'm mostly describing myself.) Polyamorous Recs update! We're never not working on recs. It just takes some time. In this case, @shelikestowakeupandjustfakeit was busy with her job and her life, so this update is a lot of the stuff I've been reading lately, with some contributions from shrift sprinkled in like chocolate chips. Go! Read! Spread the word! 250 posts (since there are some series included, it's technically more than 250 stories)!

So for no particular reason, it seemed like now might be a good time for gay porn, and also straight porn, and other stories that have no porn at all but are still really nice to read and help you escape from the real world for twenty or thirty blessed minutes. You know. No particular reason.

PolyRecs Daily
Hey! I made a thing. A tumblr, actually.

As you may suspect from the name, it is a daily random rec pulled from the PolyRecs collection.
polyrecsdaily should filter out any recs that we know have broken links, but we all know that links come and go without warning, so the management makes no guarantees.
Setting this up actually involved a Wordpress plugin, an RSS feed, and a social media service that updates Tumblr when the RSS feed is updated, but if you want to just subscribe to the RSS using your news reader (or LJ or DW), that would work too. The feed will be flooded with new items when we update, though, so if you subscribe to that directly, be prepared to occasionally drink from the fire hose.
