AHDJFJ ignore my last ask, i didn’t realize echo wasn’t the only s/i name listed. so i’ll just ask pearl, what was your first impression of echo?

I did give my answer on the last post, but I’ll go a bit more in depth on how we met 🕺

Basically, me and Coco met a few months after I met Rina. They had apparently escaped and Octarian army camp, like training thing. I don’t know splat about those things. But anyway, that’s where they were from. They managed to get into Inkopolis Square and stopped me and Rina to ask us for help. They didn’t know up from down about popularity in Inkopolis, so I guess we just looked approachable.

They gave me the creeps, bc they were covered in ink. Teal ink. It’s pretty commonplace to NOT be walking around with ink stains and your turf war weapon, but they didn’t know that then. They talked very directly, and didn’t speak very fluent Inkling at the time. They sounded uncanny, like someone trying to be an Inkling.

Luckily, Rina told me what’s what about them. And once they took off the seaweed mask thing, I could tell by their soggy eyes that they didn’t mean harm. Honestly, I’m lucky Rina was there to talk sense into me. I probably wouldn’t have helped them otherwise. And I wouldn’t have met one of my better halves. Don’t ask how that math works 🧍
