After a few weeks in the Watchtower, the others discover that John and Bucky can and will nap at any time and they both have their own favorite spots.
Bucky will fall asleep in the recliner more often than not, his Switch hidden under another stack of files even though they all know he likes Animal Crossing as much as Bob.
Bob will creep up quietly and take Bucky's Switch, turning it to sleep mode or setting it on the charger while he naps. He'll even tidy up his island and plant a few more flowers for him. John takes his files and works on them, leaving completed work stacked neatly on the kitchen counter. Ava phases a pillow under his neck so he doesn't wake up with a shoulder cramp and Yelena gets one of Bob's blankets because he always runs cold.
John prefers the corner of the couch, legs stretched out and arm resting on the back cushion. Once he settles in it isn't long before his head tips back and he's out.
The way John sleeps is a little more inviting and they all take advantage like he's their favorite body pillow. Bob cuddles up under his arm, tangling his fingers around John's dog tags before closing his eyes and listening to his heartbeat until he dozes off. When Ava is having a hard time feeling solid, she'll curl up against the firm expanse of his chest and let John anchor her. Even Yelena, when she needs to feel safe, will crawl into the corner between the couch and John, muttering a vague threat involving stabbing if he snores.
(yes he snores and no she doesn't stab. The rumble is soothing).
Bucky doesn't curl up to sleep on John, but he'll sit on the floor in front of him, head tipped back and just listening to him breathe. Keeping watch while John rests.
