i know it's black history month in a lot of places, but i'm from the UK where it's LGBTQ+ history month, so:
shoutout to all the amazing black queer systems out there! you're all doing incredible by surviving and being yourselves and i value each and every one of you (even if i don't know you personally)
keep surviving, keep living, keep persisting
the world is a better place because you're here
something I like to do to help - and others might want to do this too - is if you see a fellow anti being harassed by (pro) endos, I just send them an ask checking up on them. tell them you hope their day is going well. tell them you value them.
i do this too! if you are able to, it's such a nice gesture to remind them that good people exist in this world and that there are people who value them for being who they are
(you do not have to do this and you aren't a bad person if you don't. it comes down to what you are comfortable doing and it's ok if you can't)
something positive from recent days: we have our birthday and multiple major trauma anniversaries around the same time, meaning we really struggle around this time of year and find it difficult to feel happy about our birthday. somehow though, despite everything, we actually had a really good birthday this year. we were happy and we weren't afraid of getting older. it was a new but really really nice feeling :)
oh i'm so glad you had a good birthday! especially with trauma anniversaries around the same time; birthdays can be stressful enough on their own so being able to enjoy it with everything else surrounding it is wonderful!
a belated happy birthday from us <3
(p.s. opossum-et-al is an incredible name and made me smile)
positive for me today
i got trapped in a building on my universities campus and i made the call to campus security for help
normally i would've sat and had a panic attack so it's a huge step up for me and i'm allowing myself to recognise that
recognise your positives, no matter how small
small steps can lead to big change
