edit bc i dont think i was clear enough: aroace qpr blue is fine but i prefer poly ships being kitchen table and romantic. so it would be like one au where its polyskeld and then another au where blue is aroace.

PolySkeld Among us show time loop fic prompt (part 1), buckle in because I’m gonna ramble

Also, assume from now on in every post where I talk about the Among Us show that I am operating under the headcanon that Green was an Imposter way before they entered the Skeld. But they are still also a worm farmer; it’s their lived experience.

So after the defeat of Imp!Green, they loop back to the moment they enter the Skeld. At first, it seems like a good thing; Green is able to kill more effectively. They get everyone in one day. But then they loop back.

And again

And again

So Green gets creative, they ‘play’ more with the crewmates. Finds out what makes them tick, sees how long they can play the long con. Sometimes they push the crewmates into killing each other, sometimes they infect a few others with parasites, sometimes they see how far they can sabotage the Skeld. They figure out how to quickly deal with the med bay scan situation and where all the salt in the Skeld is kept. Green keeps pushing the pieces around, maybe there’s a glimmer of hope in a “secret” stash of salt or maybe there’s a hopeless situation of hide and seek.

It’s all in the name of fun, because time loops are monotonous and seemingly free of consequences.

And then Green thinks about how fun it would be to seduce one of the crewmates and use them as an albi until the very end.

Here, Green shoots themselves in the foot.

They start out simple, White. They seduce them, get them feeling all romantical and behind White’s back they kill Orange and watch as the rest of the crew descent into paranoid chaos. Its supposed to be the same song and dance as the other loops, use the companionship of a random crewmate as an alibi while the others stew in distrust over finding pieces of Orange’s body randomly hidden in the Skeld. But as Green makes more effort to “perfect” the lovers run, they find themselves falling for White.

So they abort, and foolishly try again with someone else.

Soon, Green stops denying that it’s a joke; that they’re not just bored. They’ve fallen for every single person on this ship.

Green hasn’t attempted to seriously sabotage the ship for at least 15 loops (the crew going through o2 deprivation is kinda funny and Green is always supervising so they can fix it before things get too dicey) and they can’t remember the moment they stopped killing the crewmembers. They’re just playing a dating simulator now and Green is beginning to hate that no one can remember.

They’re lonely. They have all these memories to themselves, but they can’t share it because who’ll believe them?

Green can’t even reveal their true self to the crew.

This can have a good end or a bittersweet end, there is probably several inbetweens though
