For real though, Yellow needing someone else (Brown) to keep them grounded because otherwise they go on long disjointed tangents about the things they love without stopping when said person isn't around felt like I was seeing myself on the screen a little bit. I love Yellow so much

How would Black’s partners cope in the Canon storyline?

HOO BOY.

Not well.

Black, Magenta and Plum all had their own personal issues but Black was the trio's anchor. They kept the other two grounded and helped them through any and everything. Losing them would send Magz and Plum into a downward spiral.

I've mentioned before that Magenta is a partial age-regressor- usually their regression is voluntary and is done to seek comfort or help them with their anxiety. They remain aware of their real age and are able to switch back into an adult as needed. But the shock of Black's passing would likely send them into an uncontrolled and involuntary regression ; one they would struggle to return from ; and one they would fall back into often and without warning.

Plum meanwhile suffers from BPD. They are medicated for their anxiety and mood swings, regularly see a therapist, have a healthy social life and are in a much better place than they were before moving in with their partners. Losing Black however would undo all that progress and worse. Their history of self-harm, their struggles with anger management and paranoia and the auditory hallucinations they had managed to leave behind would all come flooding back.

Thankfully they wouldn't be completely without a support system- they still have Almond and Grey.

While distraught at the loss of their partner, Almond is more stable and has had experience dealing with grief. They know how to manage themself in such a situation and as hard as it is, move forward. They've also promised Black that if something happened to them they would take care of Magenta and Plum. It was an offhand joke at the time ; just Black saying "Since you're part of the polyfam now you'll have to deal with Magz & Plum if I die". But Almond still intends on following through with their promise.

Grey, Plum's other partner, would also be there for them. While they may not be the best equipped to help Plum (and Magenta, who they've met a few times) in this situation, they still want to do everything they can to help. Even if it's just buying groceries or cooking. Even if it's just cleaning or laundry. Even if it's just being in the same room as Plum, so they can feel safe without feeling crowded.

Losing Black would be absolutely devastating to Magenta and Plum, but they would still have people who love them and care for them.

I've been wanting to make plushies of these two goobers for the longest time, but couldn't decide on what style I should go for, until me and wife had the stupidest idea that Mummymon should absolutely have a muppet-ass mouth because. I mean just look at him, it was clearly meant to be

So here they are, Arukenimon and Mummymon plushies that also double as hand puppets! A nice challenge all things considered (I've never made a puppet-like plush before), but with this duo I got to make both the open mouth and moving hands variants!

I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but intrusive thoughts are basically your brain’s (sometimes very upsetting) way of saying “If there were two guys on the moon and one of them killed the other with a rock would that be fucked up or what?”

I’ve personally found that adding the “would that be fucked or what?” part in myself really helps put the more disturbing thoughts we sometimes get into perspective. Helps me say “yeah thar sure would be fucked up” and move on with my day.

It’s not not a secret desire, it’s not something that only occurs to you because you’re a bad person. It’s just your brain deciding to process the fact that it knows an uncomfortable thing exists in the world by feeding it to you in an absurd “what if” with you as the main character.

#something that really helps is i used to verbalize these thoughts in that way to my brother #like wed be cooking and id just go “i take your big chef knife and stab u. yeah?” and hed respond w smth like “i perfectly block. loser.”

This might be my favorite coping mechanism of this genre I've heard yet. Sibling goals.

unfortunately i dont think its queerbaiting if the creator is just so terminally heterosexual that they never remotely considered the same gender relationship their show is centered around could be read as romantic. it is deeply painful however.

By definition you can't accidentally queerbait. Queerbaiting is specifically using a same sex pair from the show to market the show to queer audiences with no intention of ever following through on a romantic relationship.

There is officially licensed Destiel merch signed off on by Kripke. Teen Wolf had a commercial with the actors for Derek and Stiles draped over each other talking about being "on a ship." Both shows actively used scenes between them as marketing while actively mocking fans for wanting them together. Sherlock has multiple characters refer to Johnlock as a couple, including characters we're supposed to believe are never wrong about human behavior and pushed those scenes in marketing. Then they acted insulted when fans saw them as a couple.

That's queerbaiting.

Done on accident it would just be queer subtext. Done because they had no other choice due to censorship is queer coding.

The specific meaning of the word is really starting to get lost and it's a pretty important one to keep accurate. It describes a very specific phenomenon that was done repeatedly and maliciously for decades and is meant to examine that specifically.

Doing it on accident sucks, but it isn't a tactic of capitalism intentionally intended to suppress queer representation while making money from queer fans.
