Pony!Ghost Refsheet 2018 edition~

Easily the lightest pony I have out of all of them. xD  I’d’ve had Ghost’s/Glenn’s ref done sooner if I hadn’t gotten vexed by his hair when I initially did it. But ah well~ Clean mark, clean ref, and another one down for the chart!

Pony!Chiro Refsheet 2018 edition~

Finally got a nice clean updated ref for my fave pacifistic werebat. c: That uncomfortable smile is practically a default face for him. xD Ever since I got a sketch of him from Steph, where she pulled influence from the early horses for his wings, I’d been wanting to pull it into my style for him. I only just now really got around to actually doing it. xD Also cleaned up his mark!  One more character down for my big height chart project, too!

Pony!Kat Refsheet 2018 edition~

I posted this one last year, but due to additions and changes it just seems more appropriate to reupload its rearranged and appended version than to redraw everything. xD

Changes from last year’s version: CM updated to new artwork, height chart/comparison removed, pendant detail added, additional anthro view added. The CM was the main reason for the update to Kat’s ref, since I recently completely remade the sword bit of it to not look like a silver pin with a yellow blob at one end.

I was going to try a leopard appaloosa pattern, but I ended up with this pattern instead. Not that I’m gonna complain, it looks good on him! But one of these days I do need to try for a leopard appy. xD But anyway, add one more to my list of ponified OCs. xD A grizzly werebear of Nez Perce tribe descent.  EDIT: Median Form added! In this form, his hindquarters is still more horse than bear, though the hooves have split into the three-toed anatomy of early horses. His ears and face aren’t quite completely bear, either.

This fella is codename Kodiak, an Enforcer of the Coalition and team partner to Jackal. Contrary to his alter species’ taxonomic identifier (and the reason why he was paired with hotheaded Jackal), he’s a gentle soul and level-headed guy. Very protective of his comrades, whom he considers family.  Out in the field as an Enforcer, he’s made to soak up incoming damage and hit hard, striving to finish things as quickly as ordered so that there’s less unnecessary harm coming to both his own and the target. He’s not the kind of guy to literally rip enemies apart. He could, but he’d rather not. There are enough werebeasts who do that already, as far as he’s concerned.

Just a peek into my mindscape yesterday. Kat trying to talk the new lady into opening up to me.

The bat on the right is the new lady who’s trying to offer to take Kat’s role in SotN, to get Kat back to her own storyverse and take the “ponified oc” gimmick out of the blog. But she won’t let me into her head, and Kat’s noticed. Now granted she just came around yesterday morning, so there’s just not much there yet. Duke’s already claimed he knows her. So far all I know from it is that she’s an older vampony, she’s an Oakheart, she’s fairly respected due to her age, is mostly content to live and let live, and that’s about it. No name, no specific talent, no mark, not much history beyond knowing Duke.

Some OCs are so secretive when they first emerge. xD  Also the whole “removal of ponified OC gimmick” is not at all concrete. I doubt it’s even gonna happen.

Well, I toyed with the idea, might as well show it. x3

One of my other ponified vampires has a similar pastern marking thing going on to resemble suit-jacket sleeves over a buttoned white shirt. I wondered what something similar would look like on Kat. Decided to test a “tuxedo” marking, too.

I’m not actually changing her design. But if I did, I’d probably just add the strip on her nose and the pastern marks, plus do the hoof color separation style choice. The chest splash seemed like a neat idea, but not enough to keep my interest. xD Just one of those what-if things!

Revisiting a ponified character~ My mage Soren Kilgore. 

She’s an ice and blood mage, her primary focus being blood magic, but I usually opt to draw the ice magic since it doesn’t require a warning. xD  Last time I drew Soren in full color, she looked like this. Not much change, really, except style evolution and wanting to bestow the “legacy”/traditional/leonine type of unicorn design to her. x3
