Today there was a pool function, and it was unlike all the others I've been to; but in a good way. Only down part was that it was 30 degrees outside.. We all lined up and got weighed in as usual, then went outside and I lead the stretches. Next were the pull-ups (I got 6), the crunches (120), and the 1 1/2 mile run (11:00, Can you really blame me?! it was fucking FREEZINGGG).
After doing the IST, all 45-50 of us went into the office and watched the 238th Marine Corps birthday video, it honestly was very motivating. This wasn't the end of the function; we had a surprise crossfit workout too. 800m Sandbag run (40lbs), Sit-ups with 40 lbs medicine ball, 200m broad jump burpees, bear crawls, and 30 push-ups. We did this workout TWICE, and as a team competition. Everyone encouraged and motivated each other until the last poolee was finished. Overall this function was a challenging and taught the importance of teamwork. It was an humbling experience, and it reminded me once again that you get what you give.
Stay motivated my followers, and give everyday 110%.
