okay so, that whole 'hey, hey, it's me' -prove it 'you're a dick exchange in X-Men got me thinking:

similar situation; Logan and Wade are fighting a mutant who can shapeshifte (or create illusions as 'disguise' or whatever you get the gist)

at one point, Wade gets confronted with two Logans, one of whom he has to eliminate (let's assume Wade has a weapon strong enough to do some Serious Damage even to the Wolverine; but it's also needed to take out the other mutant)

Wade, weapon drawn, just smirks and is like 'come and get me peanut'

now, in certain circles, it's known that Wolverine and Deadpool have A Thing going on. so, Logan 1 immediately starts saying stuff like 'i'm not gonna fight you bub' and even retracts his claws while Logan 2 just growls and charges at Wade, sinking his claws into Wade's stomach.

the weapon goes off, dust settles. Logan 1 lays on the ground, groaning.

Logan 2 is slowly rolling off Wade, retracting his claws. Wade, from where he was tackled onto his back, coughs and says 'see, the real Logan never passes up an opportunity to rearrange my guts' *turns his head to weakly wink at the 4th wall*

You guys seemed to really like the first one so let's do another!

- Wade knows exactly what shows to put on that will make Logan fall asleep on the couch - Golden Girls works nearly 100% of the time. If he's lucky, Logan will fall asleep against Wade and snore into his shoulder. If he's REALLY lucky, Logan will be tired enough to lay his head in Wade's lap and have his hair petted until he falls asleep like an oversized kitty cat.

- Wade wakes up every time Logan moves when they are sleeping the same bed. He's never been a deep sleeper and part of him worries one day he'll wake up to find Logan has left him for good. If Logan moves too far away, splayed out across the bed, Wade will wiggle over until they are touching again so he can make sure Logan is still there.

- Logan doesn't like holding hands (too much pressure irritates his claws and he thinks it looks silly), so whenever they are out and about Wade will consistently just bump their shoulders together to touch him.

- When Logan wakes up in the morning he's always frazzled and grumbly until he gets his coffee, so he usually just grabs whatever clothes are nearby and throws them on. Wade makes sure to keep his clothes in close reach of the bed so he see Logan sleepily trudge around the apartment in Hello Kitty crop tops or Wade's sweatshirts.

- Sometimes during missions Wade won't be as careful as he should be just so Logan has to look over him and make sure he's okay. They both have healing factors but Logan always takes the time, grumbling all the while, to make sure Wade isn't actually too hurt.

I could do more of these if you guys want, just send me some prompts! I have lots of thoughts about these losers.

Mary and Wade smell so much alike that Logan often questions who has been going through his underwear- Wade or Mary?

Logan only carries one (1) weapon --that isn't his claws-- on his person, tucked into the side of his boot.

it's a small knife, adamantium blade and a red handle with some thin decorative black leather straps.

when Logan had gifted it to Wade, the latter had frowned and already tried to figure out how to shift his current weapon arsenal around to be able to carry the knife.

Logan had smiled gently and shook his head, then showed Wade the little sheath he had requested for his left boot.

'i've got your back, i'll always be your reserve.'

(maybe Wade teared up a little at the thought of Logan carrying around a back up weapon)

i bet Wade would hyperfixate on sourdough for like, a week, making a starter, getting excited watching the bubble, coming back a couple hours later to see it has tripled in size etc only to lose interest in it before it's actually mature. he's about to ask Vanessa if she wants it (or otherwise throw the whole thing away) when Logan is like, bitch ??? thats a perfectly good sourdough starter you're about to give up (one way or another), not on my fucking watch. and then proceeds to feed it and bake the most perfect sourdough bread Wade has ever seen. when it comes out of the oven Wade is actually speechless before then launching into a whole spiel about Logan holding out on him and telling Logan he better is prepared to bake all their bread from now on. Logan puts on a grumpy front but of course internally his protect & provide animal instinct is preening

listen, as much as i enjoy the Claws Are Out During Sex and Masochist/Sadist tags on a Poolverine PWP, there's something to be said about Wade being gentle with Logan during sex. after the Honda Hate Fuck, Logan thinks he knows what Wade expects of him in bed; basically the same as all the other lovers before him. but then the first time they have sex in an actual bed and Wade is careful, soft Logan just... blue screens not only that Wade can manhandle him no problem, but then he goes and is so GENTLE with Logan (and Wade better than anyone before understands the opportunities because of the healing factor). and maybe it makes Logan cry a little because everyone else just sees an indestructible animal but not Wade

Dog Parents Logan & Wade

it's been a few days since they came back from the void. Logan and Wade are still dancing around each other. Yukio has already asked when they were doing a game night with the F-Word next. Vanessa has sent him a selfie from a hike with Dermot. until one night Wade wakes up in the middle of the night. at first he can't tell why. Logan is snoring next to him. the usual noise of sirens and yelling from outside. Wade is about to shrug it off and go back to sleep when he hears it again. a small sound. one that sounds like it just slipped out, against their will. it comes from the kitchen. Wade gets up to investigate, shuffling over without turning on any lights. his heart breaks at the sight. Mary is pressed into a corner, cowering down and whimpering but she sounds like she's desperately trying to be quiet.

'oh no, oh sweetheart,' Wade coos, slowly lowering himself until he's kneeling on the tiles.

Mary doesn't seem to see or hear him, staying in her corner and shaking so hard her whole body wiggles. Wade supposes it makes sense as he scoots over to lean back against the cabinets, legs sprawled out in front of him. the Void didn't seem like the friendliest place and even though she seemed to live with Nicepool, who knew what she experienced.

Wade doesn't know how long he stays sitting there, every now and then whispering reassurances to Mary. his patience does get rewarded when he notices movement from the corner of his eyes. pressed low against the floor and still shaking and whimpering, Mary slowly shuffles over until her nose bumps into Wade's outstretched hand. Wade fights his instincts and stays still, praising Mary in a low voice. she finally seems to realise it's Wade with her and hurriedly clambers into his lap, curling up and finally stops shaking. Wade dares to pet her back and she relaxes more.

'Wade?' Logan asks groggily, head appearing over the back of the couch.

'all good. go back to sleep peanut.'

instead, Logan traipses over, dropping a blanket next to Wade and rummaging in a cabinet above him, before letting himself sink to the floor as well. he holds out one of Mary's favourite treats for her and she gobbles them up and yips in thanks, Logan scratching her little tuft of hair in return. then he carefully spreads out the blanket over Wade's bare legs.

'thanks.' Wade smiles and then they just sit there, petting Mary and feeding her treats until she finally falls asleep in the early hours of the morning.

Good Dads Logan & Wade

most of the time, Laura stays at the X-Mension, but sometimes she stays over at Logan and Wade's during the weekend. during those times, Wade usually makes himself scarce under the guise of 'not wanting to interrupt father-daughter bonding time'. when Laura insists he'll stay for dinner, but otherwise he takes Mary for long walks or accompanies Al to bingo.

one night, he lets himself quietly back into the apartment and is just about to check the fridge for any leftovers, when he hears a quiet whimper and then a gasp that tells him Laura startled awake. he doesn't say anything when she shuffles into the kitchen, just offers her a bottle of coke and smiles tentatively. she accepts it and takes a few sips, still looking a bit pale.

Wade makes a spur of the moment decision. 'c'mon,' he says, motioning for her to slip into her crocs (because personal crocs are mandatory in the Wilson-Howlett household) and and follow him. Laura makes a confused sound but trails after Wade up the stairs and onto the roof.

'i didn't know there was roof access,' she says, turning and taking in the city lights.

'not officially,' Wade smirks. he leads her over the corner of the roof door where a weathered swing set stands. Wade walks around and pats the seat of the swing.

'no,' Laura denys, shaking her head.

'it's fun,' Wade promises, tugging the chains apart as if in an invite.

hesitantly, Laura does walk over and sits down, tight grip on the chains. carefully, Wade pulls the swing back a little before giving it a tiny push. when Laura doesn't object, he repeats it a few times before getting bolder and puts a little bit more strength in his pushs.

when he finally hears an elated giggle, Wade's chest fills with warmth.

'higher!' Laura demands and Wade is happy to comply. movement in the corner of his eye catches his attention and he looks over to see Logan stand there with his arms crossed and a fond look on his face.

'i'm flying dad!' Laura yells.

'i see, cub,' Logan smiles.
