Trio of orphans accidentally wander through a fairy ring and get scooped up by local Fae king.

I can hear Mel scoffing noises about Viri.

Viri is immediately there to comfort the lost children wondering through the woods alone. His heart filled with worry. He takes them back and is sickly sweet to them, the love potion radiating a warm parental affection to nurture the aching loneliness his queen’s unrequited affection gives.

The trio are eager to leave, continue their journey back to their kingdom. Viri won’t let them leave though they’re so young! He can’t let them travel the terrains of this world alone.

He kinda forcefully adopts them and adores them so much. His baby doughs. He wants love. He wants their love. The fae king has his precious ones now even if the kids are a bit hesitant at first feeling the love of a parent they never experienced before makes them grow to love him and want to stay… but like at least asks to visit their kingdom. He’s just so happy to have little ones to love him and he loves them.

I've been thinking

So when I first made this time travel idea obviously it was very much just a simple little haha living Skelly idea but now its been 2 years since I made that and so much lore between Swashbuckler and Archie has developed it doesn’t quite feel right you know

like it's no longer just some friends he had fun with for a bit and was dissapointed to see go that's literally the love of his life now jfkls I think the scene could still happen but not without a big dramatic moment before it

Like Father Time is like 'right there you guys are time to sort out the mess of the timeline you've made'. Father Time does NOT like people messing with the natural order. Archie can say his goodbyes but Father Time IS fixing this mess they've made.

And Archie wants to go home. He wants his mushroom and to see his friends again and to not be out on the open seas anymore. He loves Swashbuckler so much but a pirate's life isn't for him. When he tells Swashbuckler he has to leave Swashie begs him not to, tells him he'll leave the ship with them to wherever they're going and Archie tells him that he just … can't. He can't explain why either he's so sorry. Father Time won't allow that either but Archie can't tell him WHY. It really does not go well and Swashbuckler almost has a moment of just telling Archie to get lost if that's how he feels but. He doesn't want to end on bad terms so he sees them off.

Swashbuckler reconciles with this ala above image, believing Archie has just temporarily relocated across the earth somewhere (and not like. 6000 years into the future)
