Headcanon that people in the TLC universe dress up as Cinder and Kai in their ball-scene outfits for Halloween and call it a couples costume ✨
found in my drafts: crybogs
family w/ the rampion crew pre-bonding time
Kai: *sigh* I miss my old family The rest of the crew: me too Cinder: Cinder: Cinder: what's a family?
I freaked out.
It Came Sooner Than I Thought...
...but Cinder is completely alone.
And that is under the assumption that Neo is planning on leaving as well. Regardless, I wonder how Cinder will react to hearing the news of Emerald's defection. Disbelief, uncontrollable anger... but eventually, despair and loneliness.
Emotions I feel will linger across volumes as the realisation sets in.
For the first in a very long time, Cinder has no one at her side. Regardless how Cinder has treated her allies, which of course were awful and Emerald is in the right to leave, Cinder still saw them as a kind of protection or support network. Whether she wants to admit that or not.
And without them there I can imagine Cinder telling herself that she doesn't need anyone, while further clinging onto Salem for this kind of support. And I will bet on Salem capitalizing on Emerald's defection to further the manipulation and control she has over Cinder to finally put an end to all the 'assets' she has been bringing around.
So this will push her further down a dark path, and while I am absolutely terrified for Cinder, I am also excited.
Because you only realise what youve had until you lost it.
Cinder no longer has Emerald caring for her, supporting her, looking out for her. Doing for her, far more than she deserves. And in the absence of this, perhaps at her lowest point, Cinder will realise what being with Salem brings her. Maybe it will be what finally has her breaking away
And I do believe that this will concede with Cinder trying to get rid of her Grimm arm. But this also means approaching the protagonists and gaining some sembelance of trust. And this is where I feel Emerald will come in again. Because it's not that easy to stop caring about someone you've idolised for so long. Emerald is also the first to see the abuse Salem inflicts on Cinder, so she will play a key role in convincing Ruby to help.
But that is just pure speculation from my point.
If I have to guess, Emerald is going after Mercury first chance she gets.
So while I am afraid and sad for Cinder, I am very happy that Emerald finally had the courage to break away from her and that toxic environment.
Whatever comes next, I'm excited to see how Cinder and Emerald's character will develop appart from eachother.
I think its going to be a grueling journey, but also an essential one.
Listen Cinder's design for when she was little is top tier and I just had to draw it ya know
for the record she’s like... poring tea or something in this it looks like a selfie xD
Okay so 'Without you I am nothing' was Something Pre-Salem
