The woman on the radio is still standing in for the man on the radio. The button pressing is going well. The Emerald Isle's entry, Bambi Thug, has their place in the Eurovision final ... the man on the radio and all Emeraldians will be cheering them on on Saturday. 'Everybody's Messing With Fire' is being sung by Clare Teal ... somehow appropriate that today's 'what's this music?' quiz is for Desperate Housewives. The traffic lady came and went with sad reports of refugee tents being moved from the Grand Canal and to avoid the area.
Strange noises from the long box hedge last night. Was feeding the new ghost cat under the car under the watchful eyes of Lady Clemence and Busterson ... all reasonably peaceful ... until ........... a mouse!! Bad time to make your move mousey! Lady Clemence leapt for it, as did Busterson ... then ghost cat swiftly turned, growled, grabbed poor mousey and barrelled through and disappeared into the hedge.
I went to look. Heard familiar unhappy 'this is mine!' noises. Realised Lady Clemence and Busterson were still over by the car looking puzzled. So who was in the hedge arguing over such a tiny meal???
The camera revealed all this morning. There are two ghost cats! One has short legs, the other long and has a limp. Both raid the biscuits left in the shed for Lady Clemence and Busterson. Signor Floyd also helps himself. The shed is now The Cat Cafè. How come I wasn't invited to the opening? Will I find menu requests?
Hmmmm ........ April/May is the time for newcomers ... if only they could tell their tales.
Just aswell none of them like coffee, so my coffee pot is safe. I shall ponder the potential for becoming local crazy cat hooman ... sincerely hope they are just ghost cats and not of the zombie variety! ;-) ...

Holy fuck.
The kitten was playing with a toy. He threw it into the shower and it made a weirdly loud thunk. He ran in and picked it up and I looked down to see which toy it was.
It wasn’t a toy. It was a fucking dead mouse.
In the hospital
Sneaky: Man, I can't believe you dislocated your shoulder
Mouse KaBoom: Sneaky, the gym is a place where men go to push themselves!
Sneaky: You slipped by the water fountain.
Mouse KaBoom: I was thirsty from working hard!

I HAVEN’T MADE A TLATG AU POST IN FOREVER BUT WHATEVER
This song is definitely something the characters would be thinking as time goes on (as the time spent in the Studio grows longer and longer each day.) Most likely it’s Mickey voicing these thoughts because at this point, he’s had enough of what’s going and goddammit he just wants his brother back.
This could be Donald, but Donald is a responsible uncle and is always always thinking of his niblings first. Not to say Mickey isn’t thinking about his family, but by this time in the AU, you could say he’s not really thinking all that clearly. The mouse has got a lot on his mind.
This probs doesn’t make sense if you have no idea what TLAtG AU is about ((whoops)) so brief summary under cut if interested
paging @jswatson-holmes because this song is making me feel emotions about the AU and I haven’t touched said AU in a long long time and that mistake must be corrected immediately.
*ahem* summary: An AU where Donald, Mickey, and company live in the Studio during the 1930s and onwards. Set during the Golden Age of Animation, where the lives of several characters are anything but that.
TLAtG AU (Toon Life Ain’t that Great) takes places circa late 1928 and the entirety of the 1930s, 1940s, and (if I get that far ahead of myself) 1950s, where cartoons characters are alive and live in the Studios where they’re created in. Animated Characters and people don’t exactly co-exist; toons have to deal with the human hierarchy that exists in the animation industry, with them treating the toons as less than the dirt on their shoes, because to most of the human population, toons are props - to be used in any way possible - because they can’t die/can’t be destroyed. Toons, in the eyes of people expendable, hardy. It doesn’t mean they can’t feel pain.
so yeh, that’s the AU… kinda self indulgent, as I wanna explore character arcs with this world. Co-Creator/Co-Written/Co-Artist-ed with @jswatson-holmes
I am sorry, mouse
I didn't see you there at first, dead
by the organ console.
like a renaissance painting, draped
on your back, stretched
over a fat electrical cable.
your innumerable brethren, thriving
within these church walls, surely
will continue your legacy.
