Aw, just found little Shrimpie all ballooned up :(
I’ve mentioned before he’s the sickly victorian child of the bunch, small and peaky and always got one thing or another going on. He’s been doing well lately, although I noticed his operculums curled a bit at his health check a few weeks ago.
As such I’m not gonna do anything too harsh to treat him. It could be just a weird little thing that passes (I’ve thought he was near death before and he just picked up on his own) or it could be anything up to spontaneous organ failure, I wouldn’t be surprised either way. I put him in the basket so he doesn’t get swept up under things and nobody bothers him him. I offered him some peas and he ate, I may give him an epsom soak later, maybe some metro gel. But if it’s his time I’d rather he goes in the big tank with all his buddies around than alone in a QT with medication that’s probably just going to kick the can down the road a bit but not really fix the underlying issue, if it does anything at all.
