this is so dumb but it’s late and I’m so tired and I just randomly stumbled on a scene from Guardians of the Galaxy III on Instagram and I’m genuinely so sad now. I’ve never seen the movie but heard about this scene. And half of my brain says turn off the phone and go to sleep and the other says find something happy because that was too heartbreaking to be the last thing to think about before bed
Thor: Rabbit, we need your help!
Rocket: What's wrong? You know it's the middle of the night, right?
Thor: Peter dislocated his jaw.
Rocket: How?
Peter & Thor: . . .
Rocket: . . .
Rocket: Never mind, don't answer that.
well, what more could i lose?
Me *finishes watching iw*: You know, when I said I wanted Guardians of the Galaxy 3 to go further into rocket’s character, I didn’t mean this.
Marvel:...
Me: In other words, you didn’t have to fucking kill the rest of them to do that.
Marvel:...
Me: Jesus Christ, ugh just forget I said anything.
Inktober Day 24 - Too Many
Rocket runs, desperate for a way out. But they’re too many. And they’re fast. Rocket knows he’s just delaying the inevitable. Still, he doesn’t give up.
Up and down the labyrinth of corridors he moves, never stopping, never catching his breath. Not once. They’re getting close. Too close. This is not going to end well.
One of them appears from around a corner. Rocket dodges it just in time and launch himself to the left, looking for an escape elsewhere. For a moment, he actually believes he’s going to survive. He’s wrong.
Eventually, they manage to surround him.
“Damn it.” he murmurs. There’s no way out of this. He watches impotent as the little ghosts approach him.
A second later, Rocket is dead.
“Flark! I hate this d’ast game!” He yells in frustration as a big GAME OVER occupies the screen where Pac-Man was running just mere moments before. To make his point, Rocket punches the arcade machine. Behind him, Peter starts laughing.
“You’ll get better with practice.” he promises.
“Shut up and give me another quarter, Quill.”
