my hc is and has always been that like. most of the disney parents fucking hate the idea of the isle. so for specifically my kiddos's parents
kuzco - honestly? he's neutral about it. he does feel a bit sad that he can't see yzma anymore (remember that she practically raised him) but uh. she is still scary beyond all reason and tried to kill him so :shrug emoji:
kenai - aggressively against the idea of the isle. he repeatedly brings up that he should probably be there due to him killing koda's mom and even though he managed to redeem himself, it seems that beast doesn't care about 'redemption' unless its himself. also he had to fight to prevent his brother from being stuck there
tiana and naveen - they were pro isle... until they found out about faciler's kids. tiana is actually stunned that faciler's a good father, and is one of the main people arguing for parents of vks to be allowed to join their kids (mostly due to her great relationship with her father and seeing him in faciler, even if she still doesn't forgive him for the whole frog thing)
glinda - she's mortified when she sees the isle for the first time. it reminds her of what the wizard was planning on doing with the animals in oz and with elphaba. however, she doesn't feel as though she can speak out against it bc. well. glinda's whole "fighting from the inside" philosophy
cinderella and prince charming - cinderella is still in contact with the step sisters, but not with tremaine. due to her own experience being abused and mistreated, she's against the isle due to the whole 'leaving the kids of abusive parents with their abusive parents' thing but due to her high position in auradonian authority, she literally cannot say anything
snow white - ...look. in the original fairytale she forced her wicked stepmother to dance on hot coals as punishment for her crimes against her. snow is all for the isle
rapunzel and eugene - both as an ex-criminal (eugene) and as a victim of the abuse from one of the people on the isle (rapunzel), yeah. no. rapunzel in particular uses her power to try to prevent the abuses on the isle for as long as possible, and free the children from their abusive parents if possible
robin hood and marian - much like kuzco, they have a relative on the isle (that being prince john, who is marian's uncle). however, fey logic means that they're apathetic towards his plight. its not that they don't care, its just mortal morality kind of goes out the window in that case
