Team ROSA:

Bianca Rozengarten - White Rose

Owain Escher - Pink Rose

Brian Shamrock - Green Rose

Aqua Marina - Aquamarine Rose

Overview:

ROSA is a 2nd Year Atlasian team that could not make it to the Vytal Festival (Bianca had a surgery and thus was not fit for battle in time for the event). Therefore, they were not present during the fall of Beacon or know what really happened then.

Bianca Rosengarten: 

Shy girl who was not prepared for the responsibility of leadership, specially with how...high maintenance her team is.Tries to be in good terms with everyone, sometimes to her own detriment...

Semblance: “Adaptive Defense”

Bianca’s Aura develops a temporary resistance to the types of attack she receives(Blunt, Slashing, Piercing or Elemental), which grows the more of the same attack she sustains. Receiving damage from different sources reduces the previous attack’s resistance to increase the most recent.

Class: Knight

Due to her Semblance, Bianca especializes in one-on-one combat, where she can amass resistances to an enemy’s attacks. In a scenario where she is facing too many sources of damage, she can disengage and fight at long-range with her Bow.

Owain Escher

Owain is actually a famous Metuber whose career started a few years before joining Atlas Academy. He has a big personality that bloats even further when his weapon, which doubles as a tablet and camera, is out (He has the bad habit of streaming his missions). For personal reasons, he hides his pink panther tail under his battle gear.

Semblance:”Mirror House”

Manipulating the light around him, Owain can create reflective surfaces that confuse and distract enemies. The mirrors are easily breakable but can be reinforced with Dust for various effects.

Class: Mime

Owain’s hand mirror has several functions like a camera, a scanner, a combat tablet...which give him utility in the battlefield. Gadgets aside, however, its main feature is using Light Dust to create hard-light structures, which Owain can create blueprints for. The creations last as long as Owain can feed Aura and Dust into them, but it can’t create ranged weapons or Dust Effects it cannot provide the proper dust for.

Brian Shamrock

Previously involved with crime in Atlas underbelly, Brian was sent to a Youth Detention Center which taught Combat classes in order to discipline children. Brian’s teacher saw potential on him and convinced him to apply to Atlas.

Semblance:”Barbed Armor”

Brian can alter the shape of his Aura to make himself covered in spines, damaging enemies that attack him at close-range.He can apply that thorn-coat to his weapon to make his punches more dangerous.

Class: Hunter

One of Brian’s skills is Graffiti, and he brings it into the battlefield with Dust-Paint. Infusing drawings he makes with his aura, he can create a trap that will trigger when stepped-on(varying with the type of Dust used).

The nails in his Nail-gun hide rose seeds that sprout when hit with Nature Dust, causing them to grow into thorny bushes from inside the Grimm or in a desired location. When all else fails, he can defend himself with his weapon in its Knuckles Mode.

Aqua Marina

Aqua comes from a family of Atlasian marine officials, and was allways encouraged to follow in the military like the rest of her family, but she always had a passion for dance. accepting to compromise, she applied to Atlas Academy while taking dance lessons on the side.

Semblance: “Bubbles”

Aqua can convert her aura in a slippery, soap-like substance. With it, she can make surfaces slippery or create bubbles. Said bubbles are still made of Aura, through, and can therefore be infused with Dust. Alone, the bubbles can block enemy view when in high Volume, but when combined with Electric Dust, for example, can create a cloud of charged bubbles that zap those withing it.

Class: Dancer

Aqua fights with high-speed, rhythmical strikes to her enemies. She is not very durable, but has enough mobility and ways to hinder her enemies to keep herself safe at close range. Her Chakran is also equipped with a Gravity Dust core, which allows her to throw it, manipulate its trajectory and retrieve it.

Project Ophelia is supposed to group all my main RWBY OCs into a plot that I have been developing over the years. Its supposed to happen parallel to canon but still be influenced by it, so I’m kinda dependent of new volumes to advance it.

I do however have all the characters already figured out to almost completion. I just don’t have the time to finish their respective artwork. I do have a small sneak-peek, through...

Team VCTA Volume 6 costume/Weapon Design Tests

One day I might do proper ref sheets for these, but that day is not today!

I finished the official designs for their weapons(and fixed some things on their outfits), so a quick rundown:

Viola de la Luna: Hand Microphone/Wrist Crossbow/Whip. 

The Microhpone form amplifies  his semblance and helps him infuse it with Dust. 

The crossbow uses a gravity projecting mechanism similar to a railgun, and is attached to a mount in his glove. Dust Arrows are created inside the weapon’s structure before they are fired.

 The whip can be covered with Aura to infused it with Dust, giving it elemental effects.

Balder Clemes Monoceros: Short Sword&Greatshield/Greatsword

The shield is very heavy and can be used to bash enemies/break armor. the crystal in its very middle absorbs the user’s Aura and enhances its effect over the shield’s surface. The short Sword is used for simple self-defense, as Balder’s priority is protecting others.

The Greatsword is the weapon’s true offensive option. The blade combined with the sword’s weight mixes slashing and crushing damage in each blow. It is also large enough of a surface to still be used to effectively block attacks.

Fernando Tempesto Dias: Short Staves/Nunchucks/Staff/Taser

This weapon is a collection of 6 short staves with magnets that mix Electricity and Gravity Dust to create an intangible link between them, allowing the user to connect, disconnect, fire and retrieve the pieces freely.

The staves can be used separately or connected, making nunchucks or a sectioned staff.

Adjusting the intensity of the magnets, Fernando can make the staff flexible, and use it as a vaulting pole, or firing the pieces through magnetic reppeling.

Strikes in any of these forms can shock targets with electric discharges.

Aias Marciano: Double Axe/Spear/Bow

The heavy Double Axe can easy chop off enemy limbs, and its blades can be infused with the Dust Aias has implanted in his hands.

Separated, Aias carries one of the weapons in his back while he uses the other. The short spear can expand to increase the users attack range, while the Bow creates incendiary/freezing arrows with the previous mentioned Dust in Aias arms.

“The Riptide Crew”

Wanted in each of the 4 Kingdoms to at least some degree, The Riptide Crew is a Sky Pirate group that travels Remnant pillaging and terrorizing civilians and public authorities alike.

They recently crossed paths with a Hunting-Group named “Queen Victoria”, and had one of their vessels stolen by the Huntsmen. Said vessels served as storage to stolen Atlasian Weaponry, and now the Riptide Crew is on the chase to get their goods and aircraft back.
