Poppy asked Garrett to come over last night, she had some news about her pregnancy. She refused to call it a baby, she kept referring to it just as "the pregnancy" as if it weren't just hers, as if it were somebody else's. She had never thought she'd have children, she always just wanted to be the fun aunt who would be free to travel and do as she pleased. So she told Garrett that she's giving the baby up for open adoption. She hasn't chosen parents yet but she's been looking. She said Garrett could help pick some. He agreed and respects her choice.

But he was looking forward to being a dad.
