For the under list rewrite au!
How’s the structure in the underground? For example, what’s normally seen in the streets?how are people? The king? The uh! Queen or king?
In the current planning in my head, there’s essentially two parts to ULR: pre-Frisk and post-Frisk. Pre-Frisk is the events that happen before Frisk falls, while post-Frisk is what happens after Frisk falls. The current state of the comic is pre-Frisk, while the asks are currently post-Frisk.
Pre-Frisk, the population of the Underground is contained entirely in Home (the Ruins before they fell apart/were abandoned) due to the small size. Monsters were originally locked in from the Barrier here and so they stayed here to form their community. It wasn’t long until people were able to realize the state of the Underground was leaving them borderline entirely unable to have children, and the population began to drop rapidly. Asgore and Toriel, both the King and Queen at the time, attempted to have a child, but this failed, which filled the people with fear and lost hope for their future. The few children that are born are protected by the whole of monsterkind, because it’s all they have. The mood of this time is fairly somber, with most people just waiting for their end with expectations of nothing going to get better for them. Life didn’t operate in a panic or in any slow way with a multitude of people throwing life away, but depression was rampant and young adults were unmotivated to try anything.
Post-Frisk, this is more similar to the original Underlust, where the general adult population has been given dosages of what I’ve dubbed the “Lust serum” from Chara’s SOUL. However, they aren’t in a permanent state of heat (with the exception of Sans) as it rather just improved on the overall fertility of monsters and increased the frequency of heat. The population has grown dramatically and now spreads from Snowdin to New Home, most living in New Home, with Home being almost entirely abandoned save for a few, and has been thusly dubbed the Ruins as in Undertale. The mood has brightened a bit during this time, but there has been a greater amount of sexualization within the general public with some even desperate for sex. People are far more concerned about their appearance and standing, as concepts such as appearing healthy and pretty have become more "necessary” in a way, as people are far later into their lives with no children, so they feel the need to stand out to find a partner. Additional changes (from Undertale) include Grillby’s being a bar/strip club, the MTT Brand being absent and placed with (a currently unnamed brand from) Muffet with her brothel, and the Royal Guard being nothing more than a band of pretty celebrities who don’t do much work.
I hope this gave a good insight to the setting?? I tried to avoid as many spoilers as possible lol what’s mentioned here should really only be stuff I’ve mentioned before or was a concept from the original Undertale/Underlust ^^/
