I mean no pressure nor disrespect, only flattery and intrigue as I sit on the edge of my seat, but ever since midnight hit in my part of the world, about every 20 minutes I will refresh my ao3 page for "The Job". I'm so excited. I used to always read your fics before I had a bit of a lull. But last Friday, I binged all that was out for "The Job", and was so blessed to have chapter 8 the next day. I'm trying to figure something out. How is "lychee" correctly pronounced? Or how do YOU pronounce it? I grew up pronouncing it one way, my spouse says it another... I'm not trying to settle an argument or anything, just curious. Bonus curiosity fulfillment if you care to share where you are from! I am midwest us for additional context.

My vocabulary is exclusively references.

When I call anyone "my darling," I am exuding Gordon Ramsay talking to the wait staff on kitchen nightmares.

When I call my partner "my love," I am quoting Lord Farquaad when he addresses Fiona as they are moments away from their happily ever after.

When I say something is "delightful," I am specifically imitating the McPoyle brothers from Always Sunny when Dennis throws up bc he thinks he has impregnated his twin.

I'm sure I will think of more, but these are definitely the ones I constantly use day to day
