Do you know any ttrpgs that would be good for a game about moving in Regency society? Something that could incorporate complex social entanglements, obligations, expectations, and consequences? I want to try out a game that my mom might be able to get into, and I think Regency-style social navigation á la Jane Austen would be a great place to start. Thank you!

My first impulse would be Hayley Gordon and Vee Hendro’s Good Society. However, it’s unfortunately not yet available to folks who didn’t back the Kickstarter, and is unlikely to become so before October of this year - so that’s no good unless you’re prepared to wait a couple of months and/or happen to be friends with someone who backed.

As a more immediately available alternative, you might find something in Emily Care Boss’s Romance Trilogy that you could turn to your purpose; all of the included games are strictly oneshot-oriented, as opposed to Good Society’s campaign focus, but that may not be a bad thing in terms of introducing newbies to the hobby.

you done feet for the noodle?

noodle + feet!: 

noodle is a shuffly stander, so she tends to scuff her feet around a lot. she’s probably got really flat feet, too, which makes shoes a pain in the ass to find. long toes, missing like half her toenails, probably has some really nasty looking scars from even nastier puncture wounds

probably has major problems with toe fungus when shes not tromping through a blisteringly dry desert
