Since you're a British history major I was wondering if you could recommend books/documentaries on the Tudors. Specifically the Tudor ladies, because LADIES, that's why. I want to learn more about that era since I really enjoy fiction that place then, but looking for information can be so overwhelming.

Yes, Tudor ladies are the best ladies. So, besides the series that headtrip, queenandmistress and I will be producing in twenty to never years, I'd recommend:

The Six Wives of Henry VIII

Elizabeth I (with historian David Starkey, my favorite Elizabeth researcher.)

Alison Weir's "Children of England" is my favorite biography of Mary, and Linda Porter's "The Myth of Bloody Mary" is good as well, although a bit more biased.

Elizabeth I and Mary, Queen of Scots: A Documentary by Historian Simon Schama

Those are just a few. Hope it helps! Anyone else have any recommendations?
