September 2019 | On the shore of Lake Erie in Port Colburne is where Great Lake freighters go to be broken down and recycled. MRC is one of the only ship recycling outfits in North America, where they slowly and painstakingly take apart ships of all sizes. I think the one stat that blew my mind the most is that they recently removed 200+ tons of Asbestos... from a ferry.
