[Hey, I can post! Commissioned by @wannabedemonlord. Unlike the previous two Spanish monsters, Google provides no information on the porviso, so I had to improvise.]
Porviso Skittering about is a hideous creature that resembles a bloated rat with a human skull for a head. Its tail is long and black, and seems to extend ever longer.
Even the most despised animals have souls, and those creatures that are badly abused can return from death to wreak revenge. A porviso is the undead remains of a rodent, given a mockingly humanoid visage with which to watch from the cracks and crevices of its victims’ homes. Porvisos are of nearly human intelligence, and they are patient and cunning murderers. Their primary weapon is a extensible, garrote-like tail, but their teeth are also sharp and filled with disease. Many of a porviso’s victims are kept from fighting back by being bedridden with illness, finally being strangled as their muscles become too stiff to escape.
As with the vermin they were in life, porvisos are social creatures that pack tightly together when they get a chance. They will usually ignore living rodents, including sapient ones such as ratfolk and wererats, and especially cruel wererats may keep a porviso colony on hand as tormenters and spies. Their physical resemblance to living ratkin has been remarked on by some sages, and some do associate with entities of the Elder Mythos. They can be taken as familiars by evil spellcasters of at least 7th level with the Improved Familiar feat.
