Had a dream about a possible show? 😐
I had a dream last night, which felt real. Like a premonition. It wasn't a dream of a past-life. Like the ones @marsincharge has talked about in some of her posts. Every once in a while, I'll have a dream that can be best described as "deja vu-vision, dream". And it's usually about simple and ordinary shit, like walking to the store or a chore, on a particular day. In this dream, I was watching a trailer for a new sitcom. From what I can remember, it was a show about a 30-something, 2nd-generation Jamaican-American woman, who lived in a brownstone in Bushwick (sidenote: This is a reason why I believe that it was a premonition. I don't dream of distinct things/characters.) The "twist" of the show is the fact that she had chosen being a dominatrix as her career... And due to unforeseen circumstances, her mother is now living with her. The dream ended abruptly, when the main protagonist was summoned from her "dungeon" by her mother, so she could fetch the remote control from out of the dining room. I ended up laughing and then waking up because I was dreaming of a woman in a full-latex jumpsuit (with the faceless mask), teetering in heels, with the latex squeaking and looking for "tah ting". And her mother is yelling at her while laying on the couch in the living room. I cannot see this show being on network television. Maybe on channels like Showtime or HBO, perhaps. Or, on a YouTube channel. I don't know.
Thinking that maybe if DernVadon gets any kind of fanbase, even if it's only 70 - 100 people, I may try to turn it into an animated show on YouTube. It'd literally only be animated and voiced by me since I can't pay anyone to help with it but I think I could make something worth the time it takes to make the episodes?
I do dread animating The Incident™ but I literally only started the comic as a way to get better at drawing backgrounds so hopefully it works out!!
