For EQG's tendency to ignore antagonists (aside from Sunset and the Dazzlings) after their first appearence, didn't the Shadowbolts return in Dance Magic? And even Juniper technically did appear after Movie Magic in Mirror Magic, so at least Juniper and the Shadowbolts were used more than once (over Wallflower, Cinch, Post-Crush, Gloriosa, and Vignette).

You’re correct. Juniper Montage and the Shadowbolts were given further appearances and character development. This is part of why they became such interesting characters later on.

My problem is that many other characters had the potential to be more as well, such as the Dazzlings and Wallflower Blush, but were never given the chance for further development.
