Ask Sonata Dusk Update January of 2022!

((Hey guys! Sorry for the MAJOR inactivity on this blog! Again, just been:

Busy with real life stuff.

Dealing with real life issues.

Lack of motivation.

Doing other things.

Despite these things, I’ve still haven’t forgotten about this blog. So, you might be wondering:

Am I still interested in running this blog?

Well, it’s not quite an easy “yes”. I still question rather if I still should go through with telling ASD’s story. Again, Equestria Girls is over, and I don’t know if it’s coming back anytime soon. Also, many others who had EQG themed (ask) blogs (and EQG fans in general) have already moved on to other things too, except 1 that I know of (that I also really enjoy). However, I can’t let it go, not just yet. 

Even though my motivation and interest are at an all-time low, I still not ready to throw in the towel yet. Ask Sonata Dusk is a chance for me to make a fun, relatable and interesting story. It’s something that I love doing and what I would love to continue to do, IF there’s a least a little more interest. 

I do plan on making a post going into detail about this, but today’s post will have to do. Thanks to all the people who still continue to follow this blog and “Sonata’s adventures” on it lol I hope to maybe bring you new content soon.

Before AA ended, did you ever planned for the Dazzlings to be related to anymore characters? Like how Adagio is related to Rarity or how Aria is related to Rosette Nebula? Or it is it too much of a spoiler for the reboot?

Not any that immediately come to mind! Not to say there weren’t any or that none could have been decided in the future, but I did know I wanted to keep any direct relation between the Dazzlings and the Mane 7 to a minimum, just cause the astronomical odds that they’d be so closely related in bloodlines would be incredibly unlikely, even for globe trotting immortals that had kids

Not to mention I wasn’t the one who originally thought of having Rarity be related to Adagio, that was my friend Carousel who thought up the idea and I decided to run with it to make them happy. And it made for some interesting story opportunities, even if we didn’t fully run with them during AA’s lifespan.

Besides, any possible reboot of AA would likely come with a more ‘Original Character’ flair to it, so such relations between immortals would be much more of a key focus if I did that lol

I know that Pinkie is Autistic coded, and Rainbow Dash is ADHD coded, but is Sci Twi Neurodivergent coded in any way? 🤔

Gives nose/forehead kisses - Rarity (when she’s being sincere) Applejack (when she’s being flirty or a tease/jerk).

Gets jealous the most - I imagine Rarity getting jealous the most lol We already know how dramatic she can be.

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive - Probably Applejack since I imagine her being the most rational drinker of the two.

Takes care of on sick days - I think they both would equally be helpful. Applejack with her natural home remedies and Rarity going out her way to get everything that she needs, even the best doctor lol

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day - Most likely Applejack since Rarity doesn’t go swimming that much.

Gives unprompted massages - I see them both equally doing this, since they both have their stressful days (Applejack with work/the farm and Rarity with her work as well).

Drives/rides shotgun - Applejack

Brings the other lunch at work - Both of them, but mostly Applejack 😄

Has the better parental relationship - I guess Rarity by default since Applejack…you know.

Tries to start role-playing in bed - Rarity. The girl has a hidden naughty side 😈

Embarrassingly drunk dancer - I think Rarity would be a pretty funny drunk dancer, since she barely drinks (when she does, it’s usually wine).

Still cries watching Titanic - Rarity obviously lol She’s a sucker for a tragic love story 💔

Firmly believes in couples costumes - Again, Rarity no doubt, much to Applejack’s chagrin at times lol

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas - Rarity. Only the best for her Sunshine 😊 Even though Applejack doesn’t really like her doing that lol

Makes the other eat breakfast - Applejack, probably because breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and Rarity works more than eat lol

Remembers anniversaries - I imagine both of them, but mostly Rarity.

Brings up having kids - Maybe Applejack since she’s very family oriented.
