You are born in the abyss. Who can blame you for never knowing the light? An introspection piece on Gunmar the Black, with many headcanons towards how he may have grown up, and why his role as the villain was inevitable.

I don't like one dimensional villains so I have been plagued thinking about this guy. Remember folks, a sympathetic villain is still a villain, and this is no attempt to excuse his actions, only explain them.

Hangman (~11K words) (Severing Hell's Leash AU)

Strick (der, masculine): German; noose. A loop with a running knot, tightening as the rope or wire is pulled and used to trap animals or hang people. Someone's noose is tightening, and he tied it himself.

actually guys i think i gotta take an official "break" from tumblr again, i.e. i have to not be social on here for a bit. im overwhelmed and stressed and i feel drained just thinking how ppl might expect something from me here. ill still reblog stuff, links and info mostly, i dont want that kind of break, just wanna say officially no asks no tag (games) etc responses until i feel less like burying myself in sand at the thought of it
