Rowan’s Tattoo

So it tells the story of him meeting Lyria and failing her for his own selfish pride and stuff right? Well I have a headcanon that after the war and everything, Rowan adds a line to the end of his tattoo, curling around his heart in the same ancient language. Aelin notices it but she doesn’t know what it says and Rowan won’t tell her so she has Gavriel teach her the Old Language and after months, she’s able to read enough to tell what it says. And after all the horrors of the rest of the story and tellings his failure and despair, that new little bit around his heart reads: 

“And then, I met Aelin.” 

(side note: I might write a whole fic on this headcanon, is that something y’all would want?)

5/?: Lysandra and Aedion raising Evangeline together and teaching her how to defend herself. Both of them being super protective when she gets her first boyfriend but Aedion isn’t the one who has to scare the boy – Lysandra in her snow leopard form does that all by herself.
