This heat wave is unbearable...

And the central air in my apartment complex is broken. I know, I know. Champagne problems. But I’m weak, which is why this is my unofficial Craigslist ad posting. I’m ISO a friend to join me at the beach where I’ll lay in the water until the sun goes down or someone to let me lounge at their place (equipped with a working AC, of course). I’m sort of broke right now but will bring my amazing personality, beer, and Sour Patch Kids which I think is a hot deal. Serious inquiries only!

I can’t believe that my summer sublease’s start date is in fifteen days! Where has this year gone? It feels like the end of an era; not only am I wrapping up my very first year in college (long gone are the days where frat boys generically nickname me frosh), but I’m also having to say goodbye to Brittany Hall. Even though I’m glad to be living in my own apartment, I’m truly going to miss all of my floormates and I know that I’m not the only one. Which is why I think that we should have a- drumroll please!- rooftop slumber party! This would be for the second floor crew only, of course, and the perfect way to say goodbye to one another. We might as well camp out since we don’t have access to reliable power anyway and I just know that the view from up there is incredible, especially at night when the city’s lights are glowing. What does everyone think? If I can pull the right strings with the president of the Outdoors Club on campus, I might even be able to get us tents to use for the night!

My March Madness bracket's already a bust.

Which is a bummer considering I submitted it to so many drawings and contests with hopes that my (typically) amazing guessing skills would compensate for my lack of basketball and probability knowledge. If I would have made it through round two, I would have been eligible for a free pitcher of beer and a large order of Greek nachos at Blarney’s. Now I’m expected to pay for them? Outrageous. I’m going to need someone to cheat off next March if I ever expect to get anywhere with this competition.

After spending hours pleading (perhaps arguing) with the director of the dance department, I’ve come to the conclusion that not even my astral ambition trumps the authority of a doctor’s note. It appears as though I’ll be forced to sit out of dance class until next week, which is equivalent to a lifetime in show business years. I guarantee by Friday Becky will have transformed from basic girl who needs more work on her pirouettes into the apple of Professor Constance’s eye.

Has anyone heard from Griffin yet?

I haven’t seen him return to Brittany Hall and he isn’t responding to any text messages or phone calls. Something very weird and wrong happened while we were on that island yesterday and I can’t even begin to figure out what it could have possibly been. All day I’ve been mulling over the events of the previous day and I am unable to remember anything after going into the cave. Does anyone else remember anything? Literally any detail could be helpful. Regardless, we should probably contact the authorities if we don’t hear from him by tonight.

What a weekend!

I must say that college parties are just as incredible as they say they are! 

There were so many places to go, people to see, and things to do around campus that I completely wore myself out. I didn’t even think that I would manage to make it to my improv class yesterday morning, but alas my ambition paired with a hearty breakfast and a concoction of aspirin and gatorade allowed me to power through my hangover intense fatigue and killer headache. Not only did I arrive on time, I performed superbly, though I’m certain that doesn’t come as much of a surprise for anyone. 

Despite my early morning woes, I had a very fun time with some good friends and now I cannot wait for Halloween on Christmas to show off yet another amazing costume. Did everyone else have a wonderful Halloween?
