Ngl the prospect of the TMA world post-apocalypse is so fucked up. Like sure the dread power aren’t here anymore, but we now are in a world where almost 100% of the population is severely and irreparably traumatized. Can we think about the fact that in tma, litteraly an entire generation has been collectively traumatized by the fear of the dark during their most formative years??? Like fuck our weak-ass « generational gap » with « gen z » and « oh were you old enough to remember 9/11 » NO for them it’s « oh hey were you old enough to be conscious during the immesureable leap of time during which we were endlessly tortured by fears well beneath our fragile childish minds? »
Do you think there would be support groups for people who were tortured in the same domain? Would people brag about having TRUELY suffered during the apocalypse, generating collective resentment toward people who were tortured by The Lonely or The Spiral because they « didn’t have it that bad »? I just KNOW the trauma bonds would be unreal my dude and there are so much more other fucked up shit to unpack here. Like damn they may have saved humanity but they sure created an absolutely impressive amount of fun new generational trauma to go with it
