Underground singer, songwriter, performance artist okanomodé [pronounced uh.kahn.uh.mah.day] is likely the world's best kept secret.  There is a breadth & depth in his lyrics that recall not only the great poets, but also some of the greatest moments in music history.  okanomodé sings poetry like both Stevie Wonder & Elton John, then turns around & unapologetically spits political funk like a lovechild of Parliament Funkadelic & Nina Simone.  Pay close attention to this incredible artist.  We may very well see him accepting the Best New Artist award at next year Grammys in succession to Bon Iver.
