Some beautiful ocean scenery for your viewing pleasure. You’re welcome.
After I made my purchases at the gift shop, we went back outside to get another taxi. I don’t know if this was planned ahead of time, but we got the same taxi driver!
We actually took pics 3-6 on the side of the road! Our taxi driver said that this is one of the best places to take a picture of the skyline. He stopped in the middle of the road so we could hop out and take pictures!
We stopped here long enough to buy dried sea urchins as a souvenir for Sensei. Everything looks so delicious! The rice crackers in pic 1 are made fresh! And aren’t the little shirts for gift wrapping just the cutest (pic 2)?
Time for yakisoba! A bunch of us took care of the food prep back at the shed and then carried everything out here. I was pretty worried about Watanabe-san because, despite his protestations, he’s pretty drunk. He also insisted on carrying the heaviest load of food. My job was to guide him, although I had to let go of him when we first got to the beach because we have to walk single-file along this ledge for a few feet. Watanabe-san insisted that I go before him and, against my better judgment, I did. Yeah...bad decision. I turned my back on him for MAYBE 10 seconds and suddenly he’s falling sideways off the ledge (thankfully onto the ground side into the grass instead of the beach side and a four-foot-something drop). I’m still surprised he managed to keep the food from spilling everywhere. It was both an epic party foul and an epic save at the same time. Tomo-san and Yuki-chan helped pull him back up and we managed to make it back to camp without any further mishaps.
(Note: Watanabe-san is one of those people who is able to fool everyone for a very long time into thinking he’s not drunk when he actually is. I think it’s because he’s so quite most of the time. Anyway, it’s only when he pulls some epic party foul--usually something having to do with walking---that you realize just HOW drunk he is.)
Back at camp, we have all come to the conclusion that Ken-chan is too drunk to do anything useful except for holding up one of the lights. Lol. Frankly, I’m surprised he’s still awake!
Everyone’s dancing again and, this time, we’ve got to join in. It’s the same dance from earlier, so everyone else already knows it except for me. I muddled through it, but HAD to stop to take photos of this awesomeness.
Sweet! Literally
Tomo-san bought the peach ice cream AND frozen yogurt! She said we can have one tonight and the other tomorrow.
Omnomnomnomnomnomnom.
I’m such a derp. I’ve spent the first half of dinner with my legs crossed because I didn’t think to look under the table.
