Donald Trump refuses to believe a special security briefing provided to him by the CIA that the Russians had a hand in the election and had hacked the republican party’s network as well as the democrats. This represents a dangerous ideology that doesn’t care about foreign intervention where it should not be and sets the stage for a new relationship with Russia under a Trump presidency. America will now be closer allies than before with Russia, something many criticize as ties to a Putin regime dominated with violence, oppression and corruption

Donald Trump’s labor pick is Andrew Pudzer. He has had the audacity to criticize clinton and democrats for being beholden to the interests of big businesses. This man is the CEO of the fast food company that runs Hardee’s and Carl Jr’s: he is the embodiment of big business in every way possible. And now he is in charge of this nation’s labor and seeks to fight the minimum wage. Picks like Pudzer reinforce why it is so important that we continue to advocate for the rights of workers today

Kripparian is a well known video game streamer that regularly streams and talks about hearthstone and Diablo. However, games like Faeria will pay Kripparian to give reviews and tips about their game. They don’t necessarily pay him to write positive things but instead use his videos for publicity over their game. Therefore, they are able to advertise effectively to their target audience through a use of narrowcasting that targets specifically Kripparian subscribers.

This powerful advertisement pushes forward a gun control agenda that demands responsibility from those who sell guns. It effectively uses kids as symbols of innocence to drive home the point that if we don’t even allow chocolate in our country because it is harmful to kids, how can we justify guns?

Casually explained makes a very funny commentary on how people view ordering coffee. While obviously sarcastic in his video, his portrayal in the beginning of two Starbucks as the only possible coffee shops in his area depict how widespread Starbucks is as a coffee chain. Additionally, he pokes fun of so called “coffee snobs” who insist that drinking coffee a certain way is the right way.

This is a highly concerning development in our political system. No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, it is very obvious that Mr. Carson has no experience at all required to lead the Department of Housing and Urban Development. His only experience as a retired neurosurgeon does nothing close to qualify him to lead one of our nation’s most important departments.

This gif of Rambo shooting off into the air glorifies war and masculinity. Rambo’s actions are promoting the idea of an american “manhood” discussed in M/S chapter 5. The concept of a manly war hero is the underlying idealogical idea being shown in the gif. Therefore, the harmless image of Rambo shooting aimlessly is an example of how all media has underlying idealogical beliefs that are examples of societal beliefs at the time.
