Just worked on getting my feet down quick and my grip. Actually hit some positions i recall seeing when i worked with Tom Petranoff...which feels nice. Didn't overdue it, tricep feels fine and i hit some solid 600g jog into's after this then went into some really solid run throughs. Had a good day yesterday cleaning 120k for an easy double, been some weeks since I've been able to go heavier. Worked on trying to stay closed today. Haven't thrown in a month because of weather and game schedules. Second semester should be better for that. Legs are still sore and tired from workouts this week but the body felt good considering. Staying closed better but still more to work on. It felt SOOOO much smoother just w that little change. 3rd week of my 3wk cycles is when i go for a heavy/but very manageable single depending how i feel. Looks like i powered my first snatch at 85k...which is a PR 😂 then went to 93k for a pretty solid single after. Then went to 125k c&j and boy do my jerks feel so much better! Its so fun managing flexibility for javelin and weightlifting, interesting and sometimes tough but I got it and do whatever i can to stay healthy #PostCollegiateThrowsNation #SweetLife #IDoItForMyself thanks to my camera guy @cameronc52
Spent my Sunday throwing for alittle. Havent been able to consistently throw every week so i just get out on Sundays when i feel its manageable. Went out today to work on my usual tweaks and decided to work on slight wrapping because it forces me to have a relaxed arm and not force it. Low and behold i hit around a 2m PR from a jog into! Still need to work on some more things i saw in the video, but this has been keeping me slow and steady on pace! I start my new cycle of training tomorrow w another hypertrophy/strength cycle. Weight has been maintaining, feeling good, sprinting /conditioning/yoga/body awareness work has been great! #javelin #PostCollegiateThrowsNation #tracknation (at ULM track)
