"Get away from her!" Saki shouted as he pulled Malleus away from his sister who had yet to awaken from the dragon feas spell. The look of blame in his features. Leona had Ryu in his arms his dark unkempt hair covering both of their faces.
"If Ryu doesn't wake up and dies. It'll be your fault!" his hatred for the fea deep in his eyes.
"How dare you!" Sebek exclaimed, raising his fist in anger. However Malleus didn't react. His eyes were glued to the girl in Leona's hold. He took a step forward, his gloved hands torn as he reached for the two. But he froze for he caught a glimpse of the lions expression.
Devastation plagued Leona's being. The lions gloved hands cradled the sleeping girls face. Taking a step back Malleus looked to his hands, his shaking trembling hands. His pupils were blown to near pinpoints as tears trailed down his angular face.
A slap echoed in Diasomania. Sebek's yelling and rage had to be held back with Saki being held back by Jack. "You have no right to cry over my sister!" he exclaimed again tears in his own eyes.
Footsteps echoed as Leona began making his way to the Mirror Chamber, Ryu curled up in his arms. "Kingscholar where are you taking her!" Saki demanded his enraged voice shaking. Malleus without shifting his head and slowly reddening mark peered towards the lion.
Leona stopped, his eyes never straying from his path. "I'm taking Ryu to the infirmary." his solem reply. Continuing towards the mirror chamber.
Shaking Jack off Saki followed his sister and her boyfriend. Everyone else trailed after them. a swift motion Malleus in dropped to his knees.
"Malleus/sama!" Sebek, Silver and Lilia shouted as they ran to him. The student body turned but soon covered their ears
"AAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!! AHHHHHH! AHHHHH,HHH"
After Malleus and Lilia returned from Styx, Ryu had still not awoken.
The dragon fea tried to visit her but Saki had shouted at him to get out. Ryu's twin only allowed those he deemed non dangerous in; all of their friends in Heartslabyul, Jack, Kalim, begrudgingly Jamil but only with Kalim there, the three students of Pomefior, though his sister did not get along with the older students, Ortho, who could say no to him, and Idia as long as he was on his ipad.
Malleus sighed but he understood. He was not worthy of seeing Ryu. It was as her twin put, he had no right to shed tears for her.
"Oi, Lizard," Leona's drawl tone had Malleus turning to him. Leona's hair looked more unkept than usual and there were dark circles under his eyes.
"Why haven't you been to see Herbivore?"
The dragon fea gave him a deadpan look. "I am unworthy to see her." his tone dead. As he circled back around to walk to his class Leona tsked. "Says who? That termite twin of hers."
The dragon fea nodded but his intact horn was quickly grabbed and pulled down causing him to drop his books. "Ack! Kingscholar that is, Exactly what Herbivore woulda done if she was here." said male huffed. Florescent hues widened in shock.
Releasing his horn the lion walked off, his hands behind his head. "She'd also spout whata load of bull that was." he called. Peering over his shoulder, his face was void of any emotion. "Go see her ya dumb Lizard."
Malleus quickly disappeared and reapeared outside the Infirmary. Peeking behind the corner he was relieved to see that Grim was left to guard Ryu.
His flamed ears flicked as he shifted his gaze to the corner where the prince immediately hid. "Leona, is that you? Came to see Ryu again?" the familiar asked. Malleus's heart ached as fear gripped him. Kingscholar, you. At the sound of his name Leona appeared from the shadows. His sandaled feet entering Grim's view. "Did you bring me my fancy tuna cans?" the familiar eagerly asked as the lion entered the hall.
"Yeah, yeah I got ya cans." he huffed as he gave four cans to the cat. "YATAAAA!" Grim exclaimed as he took hold of the cans. While Grim was distracted the lion motioned for Malleus to enter.
Swiftly teleporting, his heart trembled. Ryu lay in the bed. The sunlight warming her skin. Her breathing even and steady. Her muscles were less defined. The fae hesitated to take a step forward but Leona's voice made him jump.
"C'mon, it's not like the termites here." he called as he entered the room and made his way to his lover.
Taking a seat on her right side, he took hold of her hand in his ungloved ones. "Hey, Ryu." he called, his tone uncharactericaly gentle Slow steps echoed as Malleus hesitantly sat down on her left side. "I brought the lizard." Leona told, his eyes never tearing from the girl.
"Ha, ya should see his face right now. It's paler than usual." he jabbed. "Ya would have pulled my ear if ya heard that." one of his ears twitched as a wistful look came across him. "Though I think the dumb lizard might think your dead."
At that Malleus immediately laid his ear against Ryu's chest, worry filling him. A steady heartbeat and the up and down of her breathing eased him.
Taking in her lightly sunken in cheeks, tears sprouted from his eyes.
"Child of Man," burrying his face in her chest his tears soaked her clothes. Leona watched on in sadness but his ears flicked, swiveling to his lover. Forest hues widened.
A hand placed itself on a broken horn. "Wh-what hap pened to your beautiful horns, Tsunotaro?"
Malleus stilled as his head shot up. Florescent hues grew wide as the took in a bleary purple gaze. Tears spilled again as Ryu smiled kindly at him.
"Hi there MalLeo,"
Malleus took hold of her hand and placed it on his cheek. Her thumb immediately wiping the salty tears away. The dragon fae began to sob tears of joy as his co-lover placed his hand on his hair.
