Pot update

Okay so it’s been a busy week in the sugar world. 2 pot dates this week and one full getaway.

Pot 1 - Bridge. Connected on SA, a little weird from the start. Didn’t want to come to my city or pay for me to Uber to him. (Bad first signs I know) eventually after I ignored him and said I wasn’t interested he came to me. We went out to an okay steakhouse. Asked if the refills were free on his Diet Coke like what?? Talked about his mother the WHOLE time. Literally the entire time. He even called her saying he was on a date. Like no. Either way, he offers me $1000 a month seeing me a couple times a week. When I said no that I don’t have the time for that (also $1000 for a couple times a WEEK) no. He started CRYING actually crying. It was so awkward and uncomfortable. It was a meet and greet but the guy is smitten with me, basically said that he would go into debt for my attention. He asked me out again for next week. He’s harmless but overwhelming.

Pot 2- Dr. Simple. He looks like an Indian version of Danny Devito (no joke). We’ve been talking for a couple weeks and FaceTiming ALL THE TIME. I’ve got to get better at saying no to that. But he asked me to his city. He likes to act like he isn’t wealthy which is almost a nice change of pace, he isn’t showy or bragging. Spend a nice weekend together luxury hotel without it being over the top. Keeps saying he’s a simple man, a poor man. You’re a specialist OBGYN- you’re not fouling anyone. He’s definitely more of a spoiled girlfriend type, wants to feel special and desired. We ended up in bed together and oh boy what an experience. For an gynaecologist he couldn’t find his way around a vagina to save his life. At one point I’m pretty sure he bit me. 🙄 whatever. We’re planning a 3 day weekend to Barbados in two weeks anyways so hopefully we can make it "all about him".

Well that went pretty well. I was late, big surprise, I could tell it irked him, but he fell pretty hard and wants to go ahead. I'm definitely not in love with him (nerdy kind of type, didn't dress that well, a little self-important, pretty conservative, thought he was hot shit) and his one other arrangement ended in less than a month bc he could tell she wasn't super atttacted/the "chemistry" *sigh* wasn't there. I guess i played it off pretty well though bc he's supposedly been on like 30 dates from the site and only wanted to go ahead with that one other girl and me? He's a bit below where I want to be $ wise BUT i can tell he has some wiggle room, and we're starting per-meet but he's on the same page about preferring a monthly allowance once we're comfortable. So i figure I'll get him up $100 more per meet now, and at 4 meets/month I'm ok with where that would put me for now, then make sure he knows that if we're both happy we switch to a monthly and it goes up to my minimum comfort level (and he's already mentioned me in "gorgeous evening gowns" etc so I'm sure I can wiggle some shopping in there too bc like, he can't expect me to have evening gowns just lying around). I think I'll go ahead, i have other things in the works too so if I find one other guy looking to meet a bit less that should work out alright.

So for the most part I'm genuinely ok with older guys, I don't mind overweight guys, blah blah. However I recently joined Established Men and damn it's pretty awful, but I am talking to this one guy. I'm not sure if he's wealthy yet but he seems very sweet and respectful and is very artsy etc which I like. He's from about 2 hours away in a small town, but comes here when he wants some culture. His picture on the site he definitely looks old, but it's kinda like, filtered or something. Then he texted me another picture which was clearly from his younger days, he looked like a musician. Anyway, when I screened him, his number seemed to line up with one particular result, it landed in the same small town he said he was from, I got a name, but the name doesn't return many results, BUT multiple sources listed him as 86. He has himself listed as 63. However I'm not certain the number is truly linked to him, but it seems likely. I asked him to send a picture from within the last year because while very handsome (😂) the one on his profile was a little hard to see. This morning he sent me a selfie he'd supposedly just taken. Despite what I said about usually not really caring if they're older... this guy looks OLD. I don't even care about fucking them tbh but like, damn we're gonna get some looks I'm public. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he IS in his 80s. I think it's partially just an unflattering selfie but heck. I'll message him a bit more and try and guage the sugar but I'm wary. I thought about meeting him last night too. He was supposed to just be in town the night before and I said next time he was in town we should get dinner or something and he was like are you free tomorrow, I'll stay an extra day, I have a feeling you'll be very much worth it etc. I considered it bc I hate long text conversations until next time and like, to strike while the iron is hot blah blah, but it would have been a real rush and I kinda fixed my hair but it's a different kind of mess now (reallllly damaged and got my roots perfect finally but it toned the bottom previously bleached more porous parts all the way to silver even though i didn't intentionally put it on those parts) so I didn't want to meet someone with frizzy broken hay hair and half blonde half silver so made an excuse, plus I hadn't fully vetted him yet or figured out my lies or had a chance to steer it towards the mutually beneficial to make sure we're on the same page (it's VERY clear what I'm looking for on my profile though) so figured it was best to wait. What should I call him? Art I think.

I thought i might have been able to work something out with Space, even if it was a bit less than I was comfortable with, just to get my foot in the door and because I like him. But it's definitely not going to work out. He's asking way way too much for too little. I'm not gonna lie, I'm sad, I thought this have been something, but I learnt a lesson. I'm going to be more confident next time, and not let how much I like or otherwise them affect what I want. He was so so obsessed, and I believed it - he seemed incredibly genuine. I'm not saying he was faking it, but just that doesnt mean they'll spend.From now on I believe nothing, harden the fuck up, and walk straight away if we're not even close instead of attempting to negotiate. I ended up below where I was truly comfortable with, and then he went lower still. I don't expect him to come back with an offer I'm comfortable with or anything, but I know damn well he'll realize what he missed out on later. I'm not letting myself feel dumb - onwards and upwards. I will find something I'm comfortable with - more than comfortable with in fact. It's just a numbers game and I haven't really pushed out the numbers required to find a winner yet. Now, when I have and I'm still not getting anywhere it might be time to stop and re-think, but for now I've just gotta keep going and stop slacking in general lol.

So (what shall i call him? Only current POT I feel is going anywhere... Ah I've got it!) after Libra and I's little tiff (about going out after our date) I confirmed we were all good? And he was like "Yes. We are. Certainly for Friday. But I will say I would like to have a pretty honest discussion then on how a monthly thing would work. In all honesty I see it going two ways. Neither of which is not seeing you at the moment. Hah."

I don't really know what that means, and didn't push bc I was trying to go to bed lol, but I guess that's a good sign! That he's already wanting to switch to monthly. But I'm also like greeaaeat I'm already so anxious about the general date (coz he's fuckin built me up to ridiculous heights after one date) and the sex (I've only slept w one guy from the site so far after many years of sexless marriage so I'm scared I'll be awful lol) but now also having to have that conversation (I prefer to have that over text so I don't get flustered, but with him it's probably best in person cz he's so confusing). I'm not going to let him off easy lol. He's sweet and I do genuinely like him! BUT I can tell he's gonna be a handfullll. So i need my minimum goal met entirely by him I think to make it worth it. I feel like there's gonna be a lot of emotional labor here. There's already been sooo much texting. Might be more than what he had in mind, but going off some things he's said I doubt it. That way i could only see him and be comfortable, but also keeping open to an extra thing or two as backup or to really make bank. That's assuming tomorrow even goes well. We'll see. This is the most excited/hopeful I've been about anything yet but trying not to get ahead of myself.

Well shit. I wasn't sure if he was attracted to me, and he said this. And bumped our date up (I hope he wasn't joking around) by $500 bc we've been texting a buuunccchh. Fuck yes. I know he has a ton more to give too but I'm playing the slow game. He seems pretty great too. Frustrating sometimes just coz kinda hard to understand, but I'm happy.

The cute POT I got dinner with Thurs? Crushing on him so bad lmao. We've been texting a bunch. Agreed on a per meet for now while he gets some shit in order but I'm cool with that until we figure out our dynamic. Considering I'd fuck (or probably even date were i looking to date, which I'm not) him for free I'm pretty stoked rn, but I've learnt not to count my chickens too early with this stuff. Hopefully i can play it a bit cooler (i know i really should be a bit more "hard to get" with the texting etc lol) when my hormones settle down so I'm not so damn horny all the time lmao.

Little updates:

Don't think SD is going to go anywhere. Kinda figured, so not too surprised and I mean I don't really care I wasn't that invested, but still kinda disappointing.

Remember how I said I went shopping pre-emptively? Big surprise, Comedy ended up pushing our platonic out for like 2 weeks so didn't get paid. Totally jinxed it.

I ended up postponing Monday's date with the maybe-cutie. Mental health just wasn't having it. Seeing him tomorrow night (well technically tonight now, Thurs) instead. Haven't talked numbers and he's not that wealthy but seems sweet and I like him so far, we'll see.

Coffee or lunch Monday with another guy who didn't bolt when I told him my allowance range for 4ish dates/month. Can't tell what i think of him yet, but knowing he's open to that is something.

Considering fucking a vanilla dude bc I wanna get laaaaiid. When my husband and I first opened things up (before i looked into the whole sugar thing), and I was still trying to pretend I wasn't really into it and joining a dating site or w/e seemed too Deliberate, I'd browse Craigslist adds lmao. Hadn't responded to anything in a long time, but I guess some dude I'd responded to in the past was like "shit how do i find hookups" now it's all shut down, and messaged me to see if i was still interested (i hadn't replied). He sent his add again and it was hotttt (basically a mini erotic novel, slow and teasing, him doing all the work lmao) so if I find him attractive I might go there bc seriously the thirst is real.

That's about it at the moment i think. Mostly just been hiding because things have been hard.
