Aloo kofta /potato kofta curry/stuffed potato /mince potato balls gravy..... #alookofta #potatoball #stuffedpotato #alookoftacurry Ingredients for koftas/ potato balls: 250gm boiled potato, 25gm corn flour/rice Flour/gram flour , salt ,turmeric,coriander,chopped chilli,cashew ,raisin(finely chopped for stuffing)... for gravy: Onion,garlic,ginger,cilantro,tomato( finely chopped),bay leaf, fenugreek seed,mustard seed,cumin seed,carom seed,asafoetida ,turmeric powder,coriander powder ,cream/ yogurt ,salt,sugar(sugar is not necessary )..... Recipe: making balls.. Start with mashing potato,add chopped green chillies,coriander,turmeric,mix well,now make balls and stuffed with cashew and raisin pieces, coat it with gram flour/corn flour/rice flour paste,deep fry it in oil until it turns golden brown,place fully cooked koftas aside on kitchen paper towel.... Making gravy: In a pan add 1 spoon oil,add cumin,carom,asafoetida ,bay leaf,mustard seed,now add chopped ginger,garlic,chilli,onion,stir well,add tomato,stir until turn light brown,add all spices and salt,add water,sauté well,add cream or yogurt,add sugar(optional), cook for rest 2 or 3 minutes,turn off stove,pour gravy in serving plate,place potato balls on gravy,garnish it with cilantro and yogurt,serve it with rice or naan.... Note: we can use garlic,ginger,onion& tomato paste instead of chopped ingredients in gravy...... (at Brampton, Ontario)
