Pot. Hawaiian Charisma 'Hawaii'
I’ve had this Potinara for a year now and it finally has some visible growth! But… it will probably take another 3-4 years to flower.

Trading plants
Mar. 20, 2016: One thing we enjoy about collecting anything is swapping or trading with other fellow collectors. One of the new Michigan Orchid Society members Jessica had some divisions of her beautiful Cattleya plants available and was willing to swap with us. We’re so excited! THANKS, JESSICA! We hope you enjoy the plants we gave you, too!

Aug. 6, 2015: It’s Larry’s birthday! And it just so happened the plants from The Orchid Works and Orchid Eros also arrived today.
From The Orchid Works, we got some interesting plants that we only noticed being available recently.

Rescue cattleyas
Mar. 19, 2014: On his way home from work, Larry dropped by the English Gardensin Eastpointe. It was sad to see that they still did not want to sell their sad-looking Paphs for the price that their Ann Arbor branch was selling plants that have lost their blooms ($6). Eastpointe was selling the Paphs without flowers for $20 even the ones that looked dying. The ones that still have their withering…

I just got this Potinara Love Call ‘Nora’ (which is ironic to me ‘cause I just watched Noragami last night) along with a Dtps. Little Gem Stripes. This is the third time I've bought one (dtps.) because no matter what I do for the life of me they always manage to die. The ones I usually get were seedlings but this time the place I usually buy the at had some that were in spike so...hopefully a mature plant will do better for me....hopefully. I really want this to work out because I love the look of the flowers, I think I just have bad luck when it comes to phalaenopsis type orchids if that's hard to believe...even I can't believe it to be honest... But yeah I didn't expect the Potinara to be so...dry though... All the roots are shriveled to nothingness except for one which has a growing tip thank goodness, although it's lucky for me that cattleyas actually like my windowsill haha I don't know if they like it enough to flower for me since the ones I have are still seedlings and the Gemanii is starting to lose it's blooms but they do grow roots like crazy. They produce way more root growth than any of my other orchids it astounds me. The seedling roots are already starting to want to grow out through the slits in the pot.
