The great twentieth-century architect Frank Lloyd-Wright designed one adobe house, which he called the Pottery House both because of the materials to be used in its construction and because of its unique bowl shape. Wright began the commission in 1941 for an El Paso couple, but the home was built only after plans were purchased from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation for construction in Santa Fe that began in 1984.
