I didn't ever mean to upset you, and everything is done super great, and I totally understand your reasoning for grifter Isaac. So yeah, I apologize completely, and totally realize I fucked up. no i definitely don’t hate you? tbh if i hated you i’d probably have just blocked you so i didn’t have to see the notifications any more, rather than putting the time into writing a post and explanation, and then getting people to tone read it for me.
and thief isaac’s definitely a valid reading as well, just, when you’re giffing you do have to work within the confines of what footage you have available? and if the footage isn’t in canon, then you need footage of someone physically similar enough doing the thing (which is how i made erica work, since she and parker have similar builds and colouring). plus grifter isaac was the reading i personally liked most (he was actually one of the first ones i settled on, because... he’s my fave so), so to be clear, nothing i said re: grifter!isaac was supposed to be shutting down thief!isaac at all?
(and actually, i started thinking about possible footage i could use for thief!isaac and now i’m contemplating a white collar au with neal!isaac and peter!scott (and ooh elle!lydia and diana!allison) because my to do list obviously isn’t long enough)
but yeah, we’re good, and if you just keep in mind that makers can see your tags and that if they’re entirely negative they’re going to see that? and raising your own character interpretations is totally fair and legit, but maybe instead of going ‘ugh yours is so wrong’ you could ask if you don’t know where someone is coming from - because people do generally have reasons and also then you get to talk about your faves with people (which is sort of the point of fandom anyway). :)
