Chapter 5 if Toby wasn't a coward and locked tf in
Les dances Ă travers le monde
my favourite thing about this is some are very traditional dances integral to that country/culture; and some are one individuals favourite move
and he approaches all of them with enthusiasm and a surprising amount of skill
The list of Notable Blood Mages on the dragon age wiki is so fucking funny like it's literally
Ancient Blighted would-be god of death and misery, my uncle who fell for two different crypto scams, and the autism creature

There is 2 tomorrows til June 24th, the release date of deltarune chapter 5!
Hamlet adaptation where Hamlet is a vlogger and all his soliloquies are breakdowns he uploads to YouTube
⊠I am unironically here for this
this is the funniest thing Iâve ever seen in my life
This is - legitimately - my favourite delivery of Shakespeare I have EVER seen (and I have seen some good-ass productions yo, in the Globe Theatre itself even). Like seriously, even though the words are unchanged, heâs stripped away ALL of the archaic pretense and assumed grandeur of ~presenting the bard~ that makes even the most wildly talented of actors and innovative of productions inherently inaccessible to a modern audience. Like, theyâre still great, they can still communicate the message and (some) of the nuance, but theyâre still always a step removed from being identifiable to any viewerâs lived experience. Theyâre still always reciting 15th century poetry. But this guy? This guy is like, screw iambic pentameter, to hell with being precious about the material, HOW WOULD AN ACTUAL PERSON SAY THIS SHIT?
Like this. And itâs beautiful. Itâs beautiful to hear a soliloquy I loved so much already, and have it come to life in a way it never, ever, did before. I feel like I grasp his motivations, his twists and turns, no longer on an academic level but on a visceral, instinctive one. Because heâs presenting his mental and emotional journey in a way that speaks honestly, like a real person.
So yeah, this shit post? I love it. Deeply and sincerely.
A post about this went round recently, and Iâm delighted to announce sheâs since come out as trans and goes by Jasmine đłïžââ§ïž

Is anybody else aware of the snake who hates Markiplier or am I in an echo chamber of Tofu v Mark in my internet corner
A girl on TikTok was watching Markiplier with her snake, Tofu, when she realized it flips its shit every time Markiplier is on screen
He rears up and stares directly at Markiplierâs face in the corner of the screen. Itâs not moving targets/the YouTube video, itâs Markiplier
He has no reaction to other YouTubers doing letsplays. Itâs Markiplier.
He rattles his tail and strikes directly at Markiplierâs face, in the 1x1 box in the corner of her screen. Heâs specifically targeting Markiplier.
Itâs not the volume of the video, she played it muted and he still attacked the screen. Itâs Markiplier.
Itâs not the fact that Markiplier is moving, Tofu had the same reaction to a picture of Markiplier she googled. He just hates Markiplier.
Tofu will literally leave if something else is on the screen. Heâs only locked onto Markiplier.
Itâs not the fact that itâs a digital Markiplier, she printed out a photo of his face and taped it to a stick and he struck at it repeatedly.
Itâs not the paper, she cut the same shape with a blank piece of paper and he didnât care. Tofu fucking hates Markiplier and not a single person can figure out why.
Hereâs the highlights:
(Hereâs one of her videos)

what the fuck
iâm just gonna take this post for a moment so i can rant but like
i Hate how entitled adults can feel over a childâs hair!
it started when i was young myself, i wanted a mohawk, but my dad didnât approve of that look on a âgirlâ, and insisted iâd regret such a bold cut. at 16 i was finally given full autonomy over my own head.
but then i have a son and everyone around us is trying to keep his hair short. when we finally moved out just me my partner and him, i told him he doesnât need to get any haircuts he doesnât want.
so he starts growing it out, itâs still short but coming on mid-length. his teacher makes a point to tell me itâs getting long as if i donât have eyes. i hear her walking out with him one day talking to him about haircuts, as if to coax him into one. eventually i get child services called on me for âforcing a transgender lifestyleâ over what i can only assume is from a combination of me drawing cute ponies on his valentine box and letting him go to school in a ponytail.
he kept it short for awhile after but told me he wanted to grow it out again, so i let him of course. he comes home one day after getting a haircut at his grandpaâs and tells me he didnât Want the haircut.
i ask why he got it then and learned he was bribed with a promise of a surprise IF he cut his hair.
tl;dr people need to back the hell up off of children and let them have owership of whatâs on THEIR body! /rant
Same thing about getting a child to curl or straighten their hair. Or do anything with it. Just let kids have control over their bodies.
This happened to me when I was little too!! Growing up I had naturally tight Shirley Temple curls. The only problem was that you canât get a hair brush through it if your life depended on it until it grew out over a few years.
but This One Lady from church decided that leaving my hair messy and curly was child abuse and threatened to call social services on my family every damn time she saw me until one day she was the designated kid watcher and ho boy my momma tells me i came out with tears in my eyes and greasy slicked down hair and thatâs where she ends the story because i think my mother beat her ass but yeah.
Leave kids hair alone.
Iâm going to be honest, parents who are super-controlling of their childrenâs hair creep me the fuck out and Iâm not entirely certain why except that I get a vague feeling they kind of relegate them to, âannoying talking dollâ status.
I loved my daughterâs long blond hair. It was thick and wavy and beautiful but when she told me she wanted it cut short âlike a boyâ(she was four) I took her to the salon and let her whack it off.Â
The stylist was skeptical, âare you sure?â and the thing is, she said this to me, not my daughter. So I asked my girl âare you sure you want it cut short?â She was. The hair went. The stylist acted nervous most of the way through like she was waiting for one of us to burst into tears, but it looked cute! And my daughter loved it! (And itâs been short ever since.)
Autonomy over your hair is bodily autonomy and we as a culture need to start holding bodily autonomy as sacred
there is a reason that so many of us whoâve experienced trauma will reclaim control over our bodies and our selves by cutting and dying our hair. itâs part of us. itâs part of our expression. thatâs vitally important to people, especially kids, who are still early in the process of learning how they fit into the world around them.
For some reason, âstop enforcing your gender identity and sexual orientation on childrenâ never applies to cis-het people who are the only ones actually enforcing it.
About this:
Some reasons, not exhaustive:
Parents tightly controlling this shit is damaging and super often indicative of sexism or queerphobia they will begin imposing or are already imposing on the child.
Early form of indoctrination into boys vs. girls behavior; it begins super young when the child is very malleable. Sets the stage for strict gender roles.
A parent who does not respect their childâs autonomy over something as trivial as their hair is absolutely not going to defend their child from other assaults on their autonomy, unless those assaults are property crimes that challenge or might lead their child to challenge their ownership of the childâs body.
Itâs disgusting.
It also goes for life partners. Controlling someoneâs appearance either directly, or indirectly through repeated âhintsâ and shit-talking people who donât meet their standards is at the very least toxic, and sometimes it is downright abusive. Thereâs a reason âwoman cuts her hair in a way that she knows you donât likeâ is seen as a âwarning signâ that your wife might âleave you.â The hold is breaking. I did it, progressively, as things spiraled down. It wasnât rebellion. It was reclamation. (Also me realizing that I really didnât like having long hair. This is way better.
By the way, cutting someoneâs hair without consent is assault, same as punching them, and in many places it is legally recognized as such. Get their asses.
I have a solid theory that at least in the UK, where itâs common for small children being raised into boyhood to get their hair buzzed at the barbers once every six weeks or so, and to just have it washed in the interim, and for small children being raised into girlhood to likewise have the haircuts and washing but ALSO before theyâre old enough to manage their long hair themselves, to be forced to sit still for daily or twice-daily brushing/combing/plaiting/tying/twisting/braiding/sectioning etc, all of which can be painful or at least uncomfortable on a sensitive scalp - That the entire point is that it trains those children into accepting regular, painful, intimate touch on their bodies that they arenât allowed to say ânoâ to, and where saying ânoâ is treated as a sign of laziness, selfishness, childishness etc. Got to get up early and take longer than your brothers, to get appropriately Ready, and if you donât, youâre dirty.
Theyâre also disciplined in the interim too - The hair is used as a reason why they canât do things the children-being-boyed do: Canât go in the sea, your hair will get tangled and itâll be cold on your back all day. Canât play in the bushes, your hair will be a mess. Canât lie down on the grass or do tumbles, your hairâŠ
And then the child-being-girled who wants to cut the hair off so that they CAN do all those things⊠God help them.
