A designer’s Secret I discovered years ago. If you have a painting or a tapestry, you can create a fascinating effect by pulling an item out of the background by repeating it in a three dimensional object hung on top of it. This is a sconce that repeats the same leaves shown in the tapestry, both in pattern and color. So it looks like it came right out of the scene.
