Chapter 1
Light.
This was your power. From a young age, you always found yourself attracted to light so it made sense that it was your power. You would always play in the rays of the sun and would even nap anywhere you found a warm beam. You had found it comforting. You had learned to love the light so much, you had become scared of the dark. Although you despised the dark, it helped you learn your power.
When you were young, you had always stayed inside when it was dark out. It controlled you, made you fear it. That is until one night, you sat in your lit room and looked outside. You didn't want to be scared of the dark, but you guessed that's what came with loving the light. As you looked outside, you began to see little lights. You rubbed your eyes, thinking it was from staring at the dark so long, but the little lights remained. They flitted about in the dark, wistfully playing in the dark. You were so entranced that you didn't hear your mother enter your room. She gently touched your shoulder, as not to startle you. She knew you were afraid but she always knew what to say to make you feel better. She told me whenever I was in a dark place, or when I was scared to make little lights like the fireflies. She held your hand in hers, turning your palm upwards. You focused real hard, making a tiny ball of light. It didn’t stay long, which caused you to frown. She giggled and told you to keep practicing. You did, in fact. Every night since then, you tried and tried to make little fireflies like the ones you had seen outside. And every night they got brighter, and you made more and more.
After a few months, you had a hundred little lights floating around your room. You squealed with excitement and bounded downstairs to show your parents. Halfway down the stairs, you heard your father talking to someone. You slowly descended down a few more stairs and saw your father at the front door. He was talking to a policeman. The officers eyes went to you causing your father to turn around. His face was red and he was crying. The officers left, door closing behind them, and your father went to you. He picked you up and took you to the living room. He began to tell you what the officers had said to him. You began to cry. She was…
Gone.
Wild Twin Hunt; One
POWER!BTS(EXO AND BIGBANG ARE LATER) x POWER!Autumn(OC)
Word Count: 793
Genre: ANGSTY
In a world of powers, when one twin disappears, it causes the other issues with their power. Enter this world through the eyes of Min Autumn, a teleporter, who’s twin brother went missing in the middle of the night. Be prepared for a lot of angst but a little fluff sprinkled here and there.
I open my eyes, seeing the light blue color of my ceiling and walls, hidden by posters for different music groups, before looking at the butterfly pattern clock. It’s 9:37 AM. Why didn’t Yoongi wake me up? I search around my queen-sized bed for my twin brother. He’s not anywhere in the dark blue and purple covers. Where is he? Did he go to school without me? I doubt it, since he hasn’t left me alone since our parents died. I know he came into my room last night, he always does, claiming my bed is more comfortable than his, but I know he’s just trying to protect me from my own darkness. WHERE IS HE NOW?
I pull myself out of bed, immediately running to Yoongi’s room, searching for him. His phone is still in his room. My brother never goes anywhere without his phone. Something is wrong. My next stop in our apartment is the front hall and living room. He sometimes sleep walks out to the pure white, semi-circle couch, but he’s not there now. The front door is wide open. I reach out to Yoongi in my head. I receive no response. I can’t even sense him.
Panicking, I run back to his room and unlock his phone. I open his call log. There’s a missed call from an unknown number. The rest are all from his friend Jimin. Jimin could help me! Without another thought, I call Jimin from Yoongi’s phone.
“Min Yoongi, why are you calling me during school?” Jimin asks as soon as he answers.
“Jimin, it’s Autumn. Yoongi isn’t here. He’s gone, but I don’t know where, and I can’t sense him,” I ramble, my panicking making me speak at nearly 200 words per minute.
“What, you mean he’s not at home with you? Did you check everywhere?” He questions, his own panic starting to make his already abnormally high pitched voice rise a few octaves.
“The apartment door was open, and I can’t contact him through our bond,” I tell him, trying to be calm.
“Okay, will you be fine until lunch? I can’t leave now, but I’ll come over then and try to help,” Jimin proposes, to which I quickly agree before we both hang up. I would do anything for Yoongi, even talk to his best friend. I’ve never actually spoken to Jimin before, since I’m even more antisocial than Yoongi.
While I wait for noon, and with it, Jimin, I start cleaning the entire apartment so I have something other than my missing twin to think about. By the time the clock reaches 11:30, I’ve cleaned the entire apartment 2 times from floor to ceiling, and decide that I should change into real clothes and brush my pure white hair. Though my brother has brown hair and eyes, I am an albino, leaving me with white hair and red eyes. Both of us have always had very pale, almost see-through, skin.
I go back to my room and change into my favorite outfit, a pleated black knee-length skirt and three-quarter sleeve light blue shirt. As soon as I am dressed, I brush my hair before tying it into two braids, long enough to go to the bottom of my back, so it doesn’t get in the way. As I finish wrapping the hair tie to hold the second braid, I hear a knock on the door, followed by the door unlocking. I always forget that Jimin knows the code. I finish my hair and go out to the living room.
As I enter the living room, I see Jimin sitting on the couch, with his back to me, playing with a multicolor ball of fire floating in the palm of his hand. Ah yes, the beautiful yet destructive power of Park Jimin, fire. I walk around the couch to stand in front of him. As soon as I’m in sight, he extinguishes the sphere of red and yellow flames, and stands up.
“Let me just make sure I heard you correctly earlier. Yoongi isn’t here, you can’t reach him through your telepathic bond, and you can’t sense where he is,” Jimin asks, trying to make sure he understood everything I had said during my ‘hyperspeed’ rambling.
“Correct. I’m sure you already figured it out, but he left his phone here too.” I inform him. I know he’s smart. He’s the third smartest in our grade, with me at second, and Yoongi at first. I also know that he sometimes overlooks small details, like the fact that I called him from Yoongi’s phone to tell him that my brother isn’t at the apartment.
“Any ideas as to where he might be?” Jimin asks, the pitch of his voice raising again.
