I decided to organize twenty years worth of Magic cards. Turns out, most of the cards people called “garbage” or “unplayable” are worth a ton of money now. Eat on it, MTG Salvation. 

BTW, these are just the decent ones--I have about two bankers boxes full of bulk common cards I’ve already sorted through.

I am barely clinging on to Magic. I have barely bought any product recently due to the pandemic. I find my main format Commander to being more and more like a tournament format rather then a chill kitchen table format. I hate people taking this format seriously. HATE IT.

But WotC keeps pushing power and with Jewelled Lotus I feel officially pushed out of the game. The power 9 was a mistake. We should not be reprinting it even if it is just for Commander. I just have no more faith in this game. Everyone is now playing Cedh and I DON'T WANT TO PLAY LEGACY/VINTAGE IN EDH.

And this isnt a "talk with your table" issue cause it is something that is happening in all stores. If I sit down for edh I now have to EXPECT a turn 1 Urza. That isnt fun. That is a feels bad. As stronger cards get printed the scale shifts. What was an 8 3 years ago is probably a 6 now. It just isnt fun.

I like my games long, fun, and social. A game where you can be telling jokes, sipping soda and eating pizza. With all the power creep I feel like those days are gone. We cant get them back. Edh is not a casual format, its the format of budget vintage now.

Yes, basically a Mox Saphire... The powercreep is haunting my dreams... Even tho, I wouldnt mind reprints of that because the reserve list is bullshit....
