Now that we have ticked off International Women's Day from our calendars, held the 'let's celebrate women' events, taken the nice photos, curated one perfunctory activity or the other on social media, what happens next?⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Do we return to our bad behaviour of putting women down today? Spent the evening of the last day of January with my awesome @AbujaGSC family, sharing time and space with young Nigerians at the #ShapersConnect event!⁣ ⁣ Now if you didn't know, 'Connect' is an activity by the #AbujaGlobalShapers Hub that brings young professionals in Abuja together to network with a purpose. You should stay close to our social media so you register for the next one! ⁣ ⁣ I joined an incredible panel to talk about work + life balance, but also all the other things we end up needing to balance because adulting can sometimes be an increasing number of balls we need to juggle. ⁣ ⁣ I enjoyed sharing my experience, talking through how at the end of the day, your output is only as good as the state of your mind and so we MUST prioritise our #mentalhealth in the work place (and everywhere else). You matter. For three days, women from all over the world gathered under one roof to... to tell the truth. To talk about the challenges we face as advocates, parliamentarians, leaders of government, as human beings really. What a great time!! @zanyfran you must meet Meghan Pearce! She's absolutely intense like you and I love it! It would be pure fireworks for y'all to meet! My heart is full. There's something extremely powerful about hundreds of women - political and business leaders - gathered under one roof to talk. #PowerTogether raised to the power of 1000! And not just talk, but share experiences navigating the varying degrees of challenges we face on a daily basis on a political, business, family, to be honest on a human level. There's nothingike realising that not only are you not alone, but the people who have gone before you kinda figured it out, and you will too. Thank you, #VictoriaBudson! My heart is full. Forging new partnerships, making new friends, forming new tribes, validating @TechHerNG's theory of change, I could go on and on and on! And then, my panel!
