Surkulus: Home planet (underdevelopment), was caught in the crossfire of an intergalactic war. The planet was invaded, adults were killed or enslaved. Children were sent to otherwise useless planets until a use is found for them. 

Powol (Prisoner of War Orphanage 1): A dead planet covered in dust, sand and dirt, barren of greenery and the sky is swirls of thick pollution. Food is scarce and water even more so. The only natural food source available is pinkish crystals called Nutrite Dust that can only be found buried underground. Underground there are monstrous creatures called Furzen Sandcrawlers. Long tunnels and deep burrows function as homes.

Powos (Prisoner of War Orphanage 2): An apocalyptic ruin of a planet. Rocky deserts and ruined cities cover this planet with slowly recovering greenery. Underground colonies are built using pieces of the ruined cities. The skies are thick with swirls of pollution but there are the rare few breaks to the stars.

Powoe (Prisoner of War Orphanage 3): A scrap yard planet used to dump useless space ships and ports along with other useless metal junk. Makeshift buildings and colonial villages are constructed. (Megaton Fallout 3[ for example]) The sun beats down sometimes causing exposed metals to be too hot to touch.

Zephia lives in a burrow more closely located to the Mother-Grand's planetary burrow, which allows her to have first dibs on supplies from the caravans that are sent out to supply the orphans. The burrows is also located over a Nutrite Dust deposit, giving her a constant flow of food. Well off, all things considering but residing so close to the Mother-Grands burrow, Collectors are a constant and endless danger.

Rether is more in-tune to the 'cards' or the 'fate' that has been dealt to you, even before he had actuall cards in his possession. By the use of Tarot Cards, he foretells the future, however he's terrible at fortune telling and his predictions are more-than-not wrong. Due to this he goes by the opposite of what he gets from the actual cards. He is fascinated by colors, by bright vivid colors and paints if possible. However on Powol there is no paint or such colors, so he cannot do so. Rether often mentions the 'cards' in conversation and confuses those he is conversing with. Since he believes in what he is dealt, he is accepting of his situations and events that happen to him. The day the Collector comes for him, he'll be waiting.
