Character Announcement

Hallo anonimooses and our beloved followers!

After much discussion and tinkering with our spreadsheet, the admin team has decided to invoke the ~*~magic of creative license~*~ and genderbend the following characters: Travers, Mulciber, Avery Sr., Crabbe Sr., and Goyle Sr.

Without this, our male:female ratio would be 33:17. It now sits at a far more comfortable 28:22. We understand this is a departure from canon, but we felt it was important for the balance of the game. We chose these characters in an attempt to disrupt canon as little as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to send us an ask. We look forward to your owls!

Are there set ships?

Other than those firmly established by canon (Narcissa and Lucius, Lily and James, etc.), nope! We add in a few preset relationships to help give our players some starting points, but we’re of the mindset that the best ships arise organically.

I know you probably can't say too much at this point, but if you can- is the application that you've received so far below, higher than, or the same as your expectations?

I’m just going to say that the apps we have received so far have been excellent, and that I at least honestly have no specific expectations for apps. When it all comes down to it, it’s all about the character, and how well we think the app represents/portrays them. No decisions are going to made for a few days now, not until all characters are released and we decide on a specific day to accept characters and open. Stay tuned, and don’t fret!

HUZZAH, NEW ADMINS

I'm super excited to announce that POYWP has two lovely new admins: LeeLee and EdTaco. Check out the staff page for a little on the pair. The three of us are currently working on character bios, and we'll be posting a couple tonight and over the next few days. Be excited! I know I am.

We’re all currently discussing who we think we might play, so nothing is official yet.

do we have to be following you in order to submit an app/ get accepted?

I’ll say that won’t be necessary, although following us and tracking the tag #poywprp will help keep you up to date on announcements, updates, bios and acceptances! Once you’re accepted, only you character blog is required to follow the main.

TWENTY FOLLOWERS + UPDATES

I left for two seconds, and I missed it! Follower number twenty is a tie between deathlyseaofinstruments and allieoliviaroleplays (thanks dears!). As promised, over the next couple of days I will be releasing bios, and applications will be open as soon as those bios are released.
