I've been writing on this site for 3 years now and I've barely had any interactions. Maybe a few comments here and there that get excited about an update, but as soon as I post a chapter a couple weeks late, that excitement is gone. I'd have 10+ likes in the first hour while the late chapters get about 5 likes in the first two weeks of posting. Little to no rbs. I've tried ask games, asking for feedback and opinions in authors notes or posts, and replying to every comment I saw, but eventually that gets tiring when even those people I've replied to suddenly disappear for the next update. All the asks I've received (and very rarely have any at all) is when someone wants me to write something and often times it's for someone I don't write for. I still try to write, but now I have the mindset of just writing for me and then sending it into the void. It's not the best feeling when I do that, but I really miss being in love with writing and I don't want to stress about the rare interactions anymore. It do be lonely and I'm scared of going off anon due to past experiences with online interactions - PP anon

I completely understand PP. When I write nowadays, I just take advantage of the motivation and post it. I’m sad that I and many other fic writers don’t get a lot of interactions anymore. Those interactions was what made this site fun but now it’s not anymore.
